Since we've had reputation for a little while now, I think it'd be an interesting statistic to see what your ratio of positive to negative rep giving is.

I'd say I give about 10 positive rep for every 1 negative.

What's yours?

Well I'm already assuming most people will say they're higher on the positive side. If you mouse over most people it'll note that they're on a distinguished road.

If I like you I will always give positive rep. If I don't like or agree with something you've posted I just don't give rep at all rather than negative.

The opposite is also true, if I dislike you I will never give you positive rep regardless of what you post.

That said, I like most people who post here so there ya go.

Except for when I was talking about and later complaining about the whole system in the KRANARZ thread and Reputation thread. Both times I had like 8-10 negative comments like QQ, cares too much etc... which barely impacted my score, because they were useless people.

I think I have gotten 2-3 REAL comments so far. And given about 3 green, and 2 red? Can't look back, but it should be close.

Otherwise I just goto the members section, hit rep sort twice, and give green to anyone that is red.

What I am curious about is how many new handles have been made since this started, and how many junk/throwaway/random handles have been logged in to abuse the system.

5000 members, and less than 600 active. I think we need a clean sweep to get rid of anyone with no posts.

Reputation doesn't do anything so really the neg comments don't do shit but annoy someone. I have seen other vBulletin boards where they had rep. Neg rep stopped you from using certain mood icons and positive rep let you use more. AND it said automatically who repped you. I look at this whole rep thing like good rep = leaving a sticky note with a heart drawn on it and neg rep = leaving a tack on your chair. :lol:

I'm probably more 20 positive to 1 negative. I try to see positive in all people in my feedback. Sometimes though, it's impossible.
