Losing Thrown Weapons

Can you lose thrown weapons permanently, not just where you have to search, but where it streaks off into the distance?

That would suck :(

I would guess its possible if it sails into another room the janitor could claim it.

Well, that's understandable. I mean just completely losing it with NO chance of recovery (streaks off into the distance being the arrow equiv)

I don't believe so, but you can lose your weapons other ways.

Sometimes the weapon gets stuck in hiding, sometimes your feared from the room and it poofs, sometimes a critter gets it and you never find it again by the time you can gather new weapons...

But I've never seen any of my weapons streak into the distance.
