First, I would like to state how much I love the new piercing systems, but I really wish people would use their brain before going through with having themselves stabbed multiple times.

If you are a Lornon-worshipping freak I'd say being stuck full of jewelry in EVERY PIERCING PLACE POSSIBLE..would be acceptable.

But if you are a dainty, pink-wearing, female elf that worships Oleani and you have this going on...WTF are you thinking?

This is obviously a pet-peeve of mine since I know people say there are exceptions to the rule on people who act like frilly pink gobs of love, but turn out to be dark elves. But damn...its bad enough with facial alters that are like 3 fucking lines long, but must we continue this trend with the piercing system?

Yes, considering Gemstone's basis for size having little application to mechanics I would say a Hobbit about 20 levels your senior could easily pelvically pummel you into submission.

I totally agree with this thread.

There are tons of people who have really bad feature alters. Now they have 5 piercings, also badly altered, to scroll my screen.

These same fools have 20 tattoos and wearing 100 items.

I won't even go into the fact that these items are always out of order because that's my own personal preference, BUT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, get some fashion sense.

I hear you. Sat in one merchant and watched some altogether too sparkly Sorceress with long descriptions on just about everything (moonlight silver, raven platinum, pentagrams), with some iffy feature alterations, get another custom piercing, to add to the two she already had. I'm sure she thinks she looks beautiful, to me she's an eyesore and poster child for what not to do when you have merchant opportunities.

People like her make me want to make every long descriptive item I own into a show description instead, and only wear about six items total.

Caiy has a slender silver hoop in her ear (not a 'piercing' though, she's had it for awhile) and two tattoos. A soaring hawk and a raging warhorse on her arm.

That statement is a bit misleading. You can get one of the piercing accessories from the appropriate shop and have it altered to look like the nose ring, earring, etc. that you have. BUT. Ear worn items, meaning items that go on your ear lobes, cannot be converted to show up in the tattoo/piercing section. PIERCE HELP LOCATIONS tells you where you can have that kind of piercing. The earrings that go on your lobes stay in your clothing inventory.

The designers clearly tried to make it so people would get infected. Here's a trick I learned on a character of mine that has two:

Disinfect one. Wait 15 minutes. Disinfect the other one. If you do them right after each other, the second one doesn't get disinfected (note the messaging).

Do that every 3 or 4 hours and you should be fine.

Just like a regular piercing, the less you take it out, the faster it heals.

Pour tincture of acantha on it, or cast 1101 on yourself. The tincture of acantha will take away 10 mana of yours, but it disinifects like a pro.
