I know this has been asked before, but has anyone ever experimented with it?

I'm thinking about going this route, is it viable?

I think you got a pretty clear answer the first time you asked.

No.

You can do it, most of your good spells would be useless, and you would have less redux than a warrior... sounds like a great plan.

So no one has even tried training in ranged weapons?

At least do thrown, and get a returner, then you can at least pali bond to that and still inbed it with your spells.

I tried ranged in the test game.

Even with a gauntlet bow, various elemental bows, and a chaos bow... it blew.

ironically enough, we can learn multi-fire.

there might be some interesting post-cap things you could do with it, but as far as everything in between i cannot see it being a good choice.

I've done ranged and thrown on a paladin from 60th through 75th level. It sucked to varying degrees for both, but there was a pretty good amount of suck to go around.

Paladin spells aren't geared towards ranged or thrown. Maybe post-cap it would be more viable, but eh.

Oh, and multifire is one of the stupidest cmans ever.

Paladins are awesome with thrown.

It's thrown that's broken.
