I'm looking for a good sauce to use on some ribs that isn't a hundred bucks a bottle but may be an alternative for me.

Usually I use KC Masterpiece Sweet & Hickory. Almost wish I had a bottle of Bono's sauce that's sweet/tangy.

Ribs have two more hours to cook and I've gotta hit the store. Suggestions?

make your own! stew some tomaters, butter, brown sugar, honey, spice as you care too, liquid smoke, a shot or two of something yummy, and see where that gets you. Add things to taste. I like to squeeze a lime or two and throw in some grenadine.

if you like the heat, try this

Louisiana Red Hot + tomato paste + soy sauce + honey/brown sugar

mix it all together in a sauce pan and then simmer for about 5-10 minutes. Then let it cool for another 5 to 10

I'd have to agree on the Sweet Baby Ray's, my kiddos love it, especially the Sweet Vidalia Onion stuff, or the Honey.

Pineapple juice, my man. I don't like pineapples, but when it's used for any kind of marinate for that tangy element, it's awesome for some reason.

Sweet Baby Ray's is awesome.. are you saying there is a Sweet Vidalia Onion flavor? What part of the country are you in? I need that shit, haven't seen it here.

Sweet Baby Ray's, FTMFW. Besides, anyone who's slogan is "This Sauce is the Boss" receives bonus points.

A slogan only rivaled by He'brew Genesis' "Chutzpah Never Tasted So Good!"

Alright, you guys made my mind. I had a little sauce left for tonight, but next time I'll go with the recommended. Looked good on the shelf, too. :)

Usually I use KC Masterpiece Sweet & Hickory. Almost wish I had a bottle of Bono's sauce that's sweet/tangy.

Ribs have two more hours to cook and I've gotta hit the store. Suggestions?I use a dry rub on my ribs.

2 T brown sugar
1 T garlic powder
1 T onion powder
1 T ground chili
1 T ground mustard
1 T salt
1 T pepper
1 T paprika
1 ts cayenne

Avoid applying more than 350F heat to your ribs with this rub or you'll risk burning the brown sugar.

With this on, it doesn't matter WHAT kind of sauce you put on it because the spices on your ribs will rock whatever you put on it.
