AestheticDeath

I second the question of how it works.

I see some names, which are names only, nothing after it. And a black square.

Then black squares which say 'person' is an unknown quantity at this point.

Assuming blank is no votes, unknown quantity is 1+ votes/clicks?

im thinking you would click on the scales on your own post and if someone left a comment it would show up there. Of course this is just a wild guess and I could be totally wrong.

Not sure if I like it or not yet. But it can't be bad I guess. Long as it works......

It is a little strange I must admit.

Reputation is awarded based on a formula combining ones post count, the length of ones membership, and is influenced by other members depending on their reputation.

That is if you have a good reputation, then you have more of an influence on other peoples reputation.

We will work with the current system for the time being, and once a significant number of issues are brought up I will tweak it to reflect the feedback given.

CrystalTears
10-09-2008, 08:58 AM

Ah, now that you say that, it makes a little more sense. Apparently the indicators reflect if the reputation given was from someone with good reputation or not so it would have more value? Which would make sense why reputation comments made by those with a grey indicator doesn't really change anything.

Thanks for the reply. It will be interesting what the results look like once it's stable and people are used to the system.

By the way Kranar I think it is a very poor system in the end. I don't see how anything can be gained by anonymous name calling.

If the system stays, and for some reason it is not changed to make the commentators name show up, I would prefer my 'rep' system to be disabled like yours so I don't have scumbags doing this.
