Climbing/Swimming question

how much is needed of the aforementioned skills? I don't travel much and have never needed it much, but I hear tell of some places that need a certain number of ranks to reach.

So... how many ranks of climbing swimming do you all roll with?

You can access most low to medium areas in the game without climbing/swimming. The few areas that do have it, generally you'll want like 24 ranks to get by. In the later areas like Pinefar, Rift, OTF you can get by with 24 ranks but it gets much easier if you've got 40ish ranks. Someplace like Nelemar, you'll probably want to squeeze in 101 ranks just because.

If you want to travel from the Elven Nations to Zul Logoth/Landing you will need about five climbing ranks.

I have 30 ranks of each and do quite well but I hear you need 50 swimming ranks for Nelemar
