Listening to Through the Fire and Flames makes me want to play GH.

They're sick in their instrumentation almost possessed but overall it's like a cheesy mix of idk.... say Iron Maiden and DIO...?

They're beautiful.

I honestly am the biggest fan of lead riffs in the world and I grew up on Iron Maiden.
But I think DF have properly soulless lead riffs that are just a show of expertise than anything good.

But saying that if I could pick up a guitar and do what that wierd chinese guy does but at a bus stop with a mini amp, I would.
wtg btw man. Something good for once eh? :)

From what I've heard, they suck live, but I've never seen em to confirm it or not.

But regardless, the CDs do indeed kick ass.

They're awesome live.

Allow me to point out that I was in the front for their first US show ever.

And my CD book or whatever you call it for Inhuman Rampage is signed by the band. I'm supposed to be getting the new one mailed to me soon.

Are they related to Siren's dragonboobs?

Some of the songs have cheesy 80's video-game-type sounds to 'em, and it's awesome. Even funnier, my mom is totally in love with them. When I pointed her to the TTFAF video on Youtube she couldn't stop gushing for practically an hour.

I gotta say after listening to the entire album (penis in hand song too) I dig it.

They rock.

A rock band that is the result of Slayer and Journey having babies... I think.

I love Slayer and Dragonforce, but I don't think I could ever claim that there are similar elements in their music.

That's really weird because they compared themselves to Slayer, or at least Herman Li did.

Slayer deserves not to be lumped in with Dragonforce.

I don't think so. Both bands have excellent guitarists. And Slayer obviously influenced Dragonforce.

I just realized my desk is getting really messy tonight and she's going to smack me in the head when she gets home from work.

*She gets real pissed when I leave pyramids laying around.. I dunno why.

*I also don't know why this is in this thread other than spur of the moment. Sorry.

LOL, no you perv.

Given I worked at a Yankee Candle while in culinary school, I had a long time to decide a favorite candle scent and it's definitely Sage and Citrus.

It doesn't say, except "essential oils". Apparently it smells like a "freshly bloomed bouquet", though.

Backing up Alex on the "Dragonforce rules live" statement. I've seen them three times. I was so close I got sweated on by Herman Li. He and Sam Totman are fucking guitar gods.

Just because you think Dragonforce was influenced by Slayer doesn't mean they are identical and it sure doesn't mean Dragonforce is on par with Slayer. They have noticeable differences in their styles.

They have noticeable differences in their styles.I don't think they were influenced by Slayer, the band thinks they were influenced by Slayer. Nobody said they were identical, probably because they're two different bands, thanks Capt. Obvious. And yeah, they are on par with Slayer; grow up this isn't "my dad can beat your dad in the battle of the baaaaands"
