trouble with chrisms

i have the necessary skills on my 37 cleric, how is it to make a chrism gem, i have never tried before and now its baffeling me, i keep getting the message you are not spiritually prepared everytime i try. is there something i'm missing?

Are you casting 325 at the gem first? I'm guessing yes, but you never know.

For my cleric it goes like this:

prep 325
cast at <gem>
bless deity common 4

And that's it. It has to be an orb gem worth a certain amount (not sure what, I just use diamond quality gems but sometimes a low value one won't even work), which you'll be able to tell from the 325 messaging.

I've gotten the message you're getting when trying to bless a spell into a gem though, and have no idea why, so that might be the same thing you're getting.
