Hmm, I can't seem to figure out the whole poll thing, so I'll just ask.

When you use a towel to dry off, what does it feel like?

Case in point: My girl bought these towels that are soft on both sides. I can't stand them.

I like my towels to have at least one side that's somewhat rough (rough meaning it it almost like scrubbing doesn't feel like you're drying yourself with feathers). She, however, likes the soft side of the towels. For me, it never feels like I'm dried off if I use the soft side.

Opinions?

Yes, this is a strange topic, but I've been meaning to ask it for a week but always forget somewhere between the shower and the boards.

The reason I'll agree with you that towels that are soft on both sides suck is because to me, it seems like they don't really dry you when you're drying off. It's like if you use the rougher terrycloth first, you get most of the water off your body.

Ya, I too, hate those soft towel that don't really seem to do anything. I like it rough.

I have these towels that are a cross between both. They're not like locker room towels that feel like they were made from sand, nor are they like drying yourself off with rabbit fur. You get that scrubbing, drying feeling, but they're comfortable to wear while you're doing your morning stuff (shave, brushing teeth, washing face, etc.)

I never noticed there were different kinds. The only thing that pisses me off is those really thin kind the crappy hotels give you, because I need to use like 3 to dry my hair off. MAN that's annoying. I should probably invest in more absorbent towels (or a hat) too because my hair froze yesterday. That was... interesting.

You're 12, what do you shave, your head?

Yah, rough side for me too.

The soft side is just useless to me. It like seems to just push the wet around but doesn't actually dry anything.

It's like trying to dry yourself with a squeegee.

I like soft and warm towels that I can just wrap myself in. Usually I'm so zoned by the time I'm done with my shower that I was just something soft and warm.
