View Full Version : Forums not loading at all
Well, I've heard from a couple of friends that the forums aren't loading at all. Seems that as soon as they try connecting there is a server time out of some sorts. I've told them to delete their cookies and whatnot, and still not working.
Some haven't been able to get on for more than 3 days.
So, help!

I've seen it... the computer in my studio fares far less well than my one at home.

This happens to me on half the computers that I am able to log into from Iraq... it only works on 1 set of computers over here.

I can get in eventually, I keep receiving a 'database error' message though. It started 3 days ago & this a.m. it's the worst(4 out of 5x I try to access the site or navigate through it).
Strangely now after I submit a post I have to log in again? Wth.

Was this ever resolved? I'm having a similar problem. I can sign on at work, but not on my laptop at home. Any help or advice?

For all of you having issues, check to make sure your automatic updates haven't turned windows firewall on. There is nothing it does off the top of my head that would cause an error of this nature, but it's the first thing I always try when fixing a computer with connection issues because it has a nasty habit of doing random shit that makes things not work. It gets turned on any time your computer uses automatic update. That's why I keep automatic updates off.
Had to fix my mother's computer the other day because it updated and all the network printers stopped working.

Um yeah, I run only linux at home and work and I have had this happen to me. It is 100% on the server side, chief.
Windows firewall will not block port 80 going out anyway dude.

This is the first time it's happened to me...and it's not like I've never used automatic updating before.
I've never had automatic updates turn windows firewall back on either...unless that's a Vista thing and that's just one more good reason to not upgrade.
