Any ideas on bypassing this? I retired a character's name (during the reroll process) so I could use it again, at which point I deactivated the finished rerolled product (with a seperate name), and attempted to recreate my other character.

The stupid thing wont fix itself like it usually does, so I'm not sure what to do about it.

Might have to speak with a GM about that. I heard of that happening. something might have gotten screwed up on the server side of things, IMO.

Needed to clear your cookies and restart your browser before doing that. Known issue, from what I've seen. Not sure what you can do.
