What exactly does a weapon made of veil iron do?

A veil iron lance that was found in a box recently was just plain 5x, nothing else. Not to say that ALL veil iron will be like that, simply that this one is.

The new veil iron is +25 and unenchantable.

In the past, some veil iron items made by GMs for auctions/raffles were permablessed. Officially now, however, it is only a +25 metal and unenchantable.

Why make it unenchantable/non-blessable with no magical properties? Someone was thinking when they did this.

Sometimes the only place to find logic in GemStone is if you type "info".

I agree that the metal seems pretty useless in this form. At least golvern can be enchanted.

I would imagine that they have plans for the metal in the future, like they did with coraesine and adamantium. Or it was just an oversight because all the GMs are too busy making frilly lace cuffs for dresses and shit.
