In resopnse to the last post in the Helga thread...

I was unaware that I was required to be nice to everyone on the boards. I'm not here to make anyone feel better or brighten their day, but I'm also not here to flame and down everyone either.

I'm sorry J-TECH-FOR-SHIZZLE-MY-NIZZLE-OF-THE-HIZZLE... but unfortunatly you say/do dumb things and I find it humorous to me to point them out. Also, if you'd notice, I've never once used a curse word directed towards you, I simply pointed out your dumbness.

I don't claim to be the most mature person in the world, nor do I claim to be very intelligent, however I take my lashes when people give them (deserved or not), and I would hope others have the sanity not to take anything on these boards personally.

Feel free to explain to me why I'm a jackass from your point of view as well.

Bob is just a teenager. He amuses himself, and he sometimes amuses me, but he's not stupid. Offensive, childish, and rude? Yes.

I've made comments to J-Tech because of behavior he has exhibited lately, and because of some very dumb things he has said. Sure I may not handle it very well, but It's how I choose to express my opinion.

I forgot what else I was going to say.

Edit: Oh, and I think Teeoncy is a liar, sure, but I'm not going to contribute to the massive attention she receives. She's dumb, I dislike her greatly, but she thrives off the attention, so I let everyone else fawn and quarrel over her.

In fact I like you alot. You make me laugh sometimes even choke on my mello yello (Damn you for that by the way) . No you don't have to be nice all the time and make everyone happy, happy, joy , joy. There is always a time and place for it though hon.

If you're talking about this thread, I don't care what people post here. And since it is a thread I started about me, I would hope that would be my decision on when it goes too far.

Meeting people or not has nothing to do with my opinions. I would most likely say everything I say on these boards to their face. My tone and approach may change, but I don't stay quiet just because someone is attempting to be intimidating. I'm not a small guy, but there are many people in life bigger than me, and you bet i've shared my opinion with them if I saw it necessary. You just have to know how to talk to people. There's the right way to express your view, and there's the way that gets you punched in the face.

Personally, I think there are times when one needs to hold one's tongue. A lot depends on the original purpose of a thread. In a serious thread, where someone is trying to get serious responses, I really do not think the smart-assed comments are necessary. Such comments tend to derail the thread and result in frustration for the thread's originator and for other posters reacting to a serious subject in a serious manner.

As to whether or not Tayre is a jackass, I do not think so. Jackasses, in general, cannot type. ;)

Well since my name was mentioned here, and well the question is .. Is Tayre a jackass .. I guess it wouldn't hurt to post here.

Well I don't want to say anyone here is a jackass, because I don't know them personally, or anything about them. Calling people names over the web isn't really being an ass. I'm guessing he has his own insecurities in the real world, I hope its not true, but its a guess. Or maybe he's bored, lonesome, or anything of that kind, but this is just a guess as well. But what Tayre really is, is a two-faced jerk. I've spoke to him lots of times in AIM, and he was friendly, nice, and didn't bother me. We shared a few laughs, and got along just fine there. Then when I go to look at Today's Posts, I always see him, quite a few times, posting cruel things about me, after he promised not to, and even said he felt bad for doing it in the first place. So is Tayre a jackass? I really don't think its my place to judge him, but he is in fact two faced based on the facts I've gathered.

I used to try and rile up Tayre when I first started posting on these boards. I have to say that he handled it comparatively well, and I think he's a good guy.

I don't play anymore, but I like the sense of community here. Maybe that's because I live on a different continent? I really don't know. The "you don't play anymore, why are you here?" argument doesn't really hold water. There are tons of people here who don't play anymore for various reasons.

Tayre doesn't bother me at all. His posting style is different from many others, but I don't think that makes it bad.

And Tayre is not nearly as brutal as I am when pointing out flaws...

So, in closing, I think Tayre's an asset to these boards.

Ya know what? All of us get carried away, at times. I consider myself pretty level-headed, but I have been known to go ballistic on these boards. ;)

Tayre, you are not a jackass. There are times when your comments could be better considered, as I see it, but you are not generally a bloody nuisance like RedDevil.

What I would like to see more of, from everybody including myself, is for us all to take private griefs to private communication methods (IMs or email). If I do not like a specific person, it is of no value to anybody, except myself, for me to harangue that person here on the boards. These boards are here for everyone, not just for me. It seems to me that my personal issues with someone would be of no interest to other posters and readers, and would probably end by boring them to tears.

In short, giving consideration to other posters and readers can go a long way toward alleviating some of the problems with which we find ourselves dealing on occasion.

Feel free to ignore the above, if you so choose. ;)

Look, okay, maybe i was takeing this too personal, ive just been on edge lately, i miss home, i get treated like shit out here because my uncle gets the same way my dad does when he drinks, and it just gets to me plus it brings back past memories....i didnt mean to fly off on tayre yeterday, i just wasnt in the mood...i can take bashing, just at the moment i've been having a bunch of different feelings in real life that is affecting my mood in whatever i do..

You have nothing to be sorry for, J. We both probably handled that situation poorly... moreso on my part. Like people were saying, sometimes others get in moods. I was probably tired or bored or something yesterday. You really shouldn't take anything I say seriously/personally. I don't think anyone else here does. I'm not here to make anyone miserable, nor here to make anyone else happy, I'm just here for my entertainment, and if others can share in that with me, so be it.

That sounds a little self-centered but really I'm not. I'm just hoping everyone approaches these boards with the same open-mindedness and light-heartedness that I do. :D
