My Graphics Card

I have an NVidia GeForce Go 7400. I can not upgrade this without buying a new computer. I do not want to do this.

I do, however, want to lay Sore without it freezing on every menu, evolution of creatures, or entrance/exit of a planet. As of now Ctrl+Alt+Del then hitting cancel works to get it going again, but its ANNOYING.

Anyone know of any rivers for this card made by someone other than nVidia that will make this work? Fucking nVidia no longer supports this card. They support the damn 7350 and the 7500 though. Bastards.

I planned on it sometime towards the end of 2009, I just wanted Spore to work atleast decently, as it is likely the last game I'll be playing before I go away for 7 months.

How is Spore? Anyone have any comments from personal experience? I almost picked it up the other day.

I'll wait for till the new computer or some patches. Nothing pisses me off more than trying to play a game I want to play and the shit crashes left and right.

Thats what mine oes. If you hit Ctrl+Alt+Del and then click cancel, it should go to the next menu. Its fucking annoying, but when you get to arts where there are no menus, you can get a good 20 minute stretch of gameplay without having to do that. And yes, sometimes doing this it will freeze for a little while, inwhich you have to wait like 10 minutes for it do get its shit together and decide to continue.

BTW, Spore is fucking awesome, although most of the game takes place in the Space Phase.

That was my guess.

I'll stick to Civ or Total War series for awhile anyways just to be safe although I'm itching to play Spore.

I've got a strange urge to reinstall Gal Civ as well.
