How do I batter ice?

So I'm doing Batter reps for the Guild, and my first real task is to go break some slabs of ice into ice cubes. Finding the cold storage area was no trouble, but I can't find anything that I'm allowed to batter. I've tried to batter ice, slab, block...nothing I can think of works. What am I supposed to be doing?

pull ice I think to get a new block. then bash ice

"Get block", then "bash ice". All the other battering tasks follow the same pattern, it turns out. Easy...once you know the trick. Thanks!
