I haven't seen any posts anywhere about this. The new 50-60ish level hunting ground in River's Rest opened up a few days ago.

This is the information I got before I died.

Most of these things are Undead, and all of them are higher than my level (45).

If anyone else has gone in, please post the info so I can try to put these entries on krakiipedia!

~Becca

Marsh Keep

The necrotic snake is medium in size and about one foot high in its current state.
The snake would have a slight advantage over you.
>desc snake
The fearsome product of magical experimentation, the necrotic snake is larger than most men. Rotting scales cover the length of the undead reptile in a diamond pattern formed of various hues of brown, gold, and black. Large gashes in the snake's side reveal thin rib bones and the carcasses of previous meals, while leaking rancid fumes into the surrounding air.
>stance def

A necrotic snake rises up and spits a glob of disgusting white spittle directly at your eyes!
With a quick duck to the side you easily dodge the spittle!
Roundtime: 2 sec.
R>
A necrotic snake hisses and strikes at you!
AS: +277 to +291

Poisons upon successful hit

DEAD>
A necrotic snake wraps itself around your right hand, every coil applying a greater pressure until the air is filled with the horrifying SNAP of your bones!

Undead

The rotting chimera is large in size and about four feet high in its current state.
The chimera would have a slight advantage over you.
>look chim

You see a fairly typical rotting chimera.
It appears to be in good shape.
It has nothing at this time.
>
A rotting chimera bites at you with its bestial jaws!
AS: +276 vs DS: +377 with AvD: +32 + d100 roll: +42 = -27
A clean miss.
A rotting chimera pounds at you with an enormous humanoid fist!
AS: +276
>desc chim
The twisted and confused form of the rotting chimera is a testament to the sacrilege of mortals trying to wield the power of the gods. While its body looks to be primarily formed of a huge jaguar carcass, the degraded nature of the chimera does little to hide the disfigured appearance of a creature crafted from the parts of many beasts. Scales disperse into ragged patches of fur that thin out into dangling flesh. An enormous humanoid arm extends from one of the front shoulder blades of the beast while beneath it, her four legs are borrowed appendages from as many species. A huge scorpion tail rises high from the rear of the chimera, ready to strike. Sorrow-ridden eyes, one slitted, the other round, gaze into the distance as an uneven tempo of labored wheezing fills the fetid air.
The scorpion tail curled high above a rotting chimera suddenly strikes at you with lightning speed!
You manage to dodge out of the way as the chimera's tail strikes the ground beside you!

A rotting chimera whirls its abdomen around to aim its spinneret at you!
You dodge the webbing with such amazing finesse that you inspire all of those around you!

>
A gaunt spectral servant whispers haunting arcane words that echo eerily.
>desc ser
The spectral servant silently floats several inches above the ground. His eyes gaze downward submissively as his gaunt form, dressed in the ragged remains of livery, waivers in and out of visibility. Scabs and open sores cover his features, while patches of transparent hair fall from his skull, vanishing into the air at his feet.

Shorter than the common troll, but no less ugly, the tomb troll is squat and covered in a mottled and oily albino skin. Bare but for patches of lanky yellow strands of hair that cover the back, chest and arms of the troll, the tomb troll has adapted to a world far from the sun -- the darkness of crypts, the source of her favorite food. Fat, pointed ears extend from the side of her head, framing larger than normal silver eyes with horizontal slits set above a maw full of jagged teeth.
>
You see a fairly typical tomb troll.
She appears to be in good shape.
She has a bone-hafted black iron morning star and a pitted wooden shield covered in rusty black iron spikes.
>
A tomb troll lunges forward at you with her wooden shield and attempts a shield bash!
[Roll result: 134 (open d100: 43)]
A tomb troll lashes at you with a mediocre shield bash, but you manage to partially avoid it.

R>stance def
A tomb troll lunges forward at you with her wooden shield and attempts a shield bash!
[Roll result: 101 (open d100: 10)]
A tomb troll lashes at you with a feeble shield bash, but you manage to partially avoid it.
... 5 points of damage!
Blow leaves an imprint on your chest!

** A spike on the tomb troll's wooden shield jabs into you! **
... 3 points of damage!
Minor strike to the neck.
Roundtime: 2 sec.

You also see a tomb troll necromancer.
Obvious exits: north, west
!>desc nec
Similar in appearance to the common tomb troll, the pale skinned necromancer shares the same patches of lanky yellow hair that sporadically cover his squat form. His oversize eyes are filled with a greater intelligence than his cousins', granting him comprehension of the darker arts of necromancy, and making the troll a terror with the magics in the realm of death. Around his wide, disgusting and oily waist, the necromancer wears a string of pouches intermingled with rotting digits of dead kinsmen.

>
A flesh golem pounds at you with its huge swollen right fist!
AS: +300 vs DS: +332 with AvD: +50 + d100 roll: +75 = +93
A clean miss.
A flesh golem pounds at you with its huge swollen left fist!
With extreme effort, you beat back the attack with your sica!
>desc gol
Overlapping layers of skin are stitched together in a patchwork pattern over a frame of bone to resemble the form of a man. Dark creases in the flesh offer the only indication of features in the golem's face, while the rest of its body is composed of blubbery mass and the occasional portion of some humanoid race, from kobold to krolvin. Two lengthy, thick arms that end in huge swollen fists distract from the great height of the golem.

>read chair
In the Common language, it reads:

Dunder hefansteorras wid cepanne,
Dunder sunne paere lyftte wid beseon,
Wid pu bide to ba yfluo.

Awa wid cepanne,
Awa wid beseon,
Pau depas hiet sie na pas weallems.

>read tablet
In the Common language, it reads:

From foul eyes and wicked hands,
Who came from all the surrounding lands,
We have hidden what should not be lost,
That should be protected at any cost.

Search as you wish, but it is not here.
Carried away and stowed somewhere near,
By our dying breath, this job was done,
By the last of Elanith's valiant sons.

>look at sarc
Built of polished black stone, the sarcophagus is absent any engravings or decorations with the exception of a single large horn cut into the surface on the lid. Between the lid and the sarcophagus is a razor thin line of space, a testimony to the craftsmanship and care applied in the construction of the tomb. A violet, wrought of gold, rests atop the sarcophagus beside the engraved horn.

>look at banner
All that remains of the banner are colored threads, some green, some red, and others yellow and blue. Except for these lines of color, no overall image remains but for a faint outline of a multi-pointed star.

FLESH GOLEMS! THEY STOLE MY IDEA!

I'm pretty sure it was Oscuro who coded that area too so you may now commence into full shitting yourself mode.

directions to the hunting area?

[Miasmal Forest, Hanging Tree]
A great, grotesquely malformed oak tree towers overhead. Skeletons and bodies in advanced states of decomposition dangle upside down from the tree's contorted branches like obscene fruit. Scattered among them are ankle and footbones still attached to fraying lengths of rope. Beneath the tree is a jumble of mouldering bones and fallen skeletons. The stink of corrupt flesh hangs heavy in the fog. You also see a skeletal soldier and a fog shrouded path.
Obvious paths: southwest

Um...it's...on the east side of the south side of the Miasmal Forest hunting area. South of the Ghastly Swamp part of the maze. In the very northeast corner of that southeastern area.

I suck at directions.

There's some pretty neat critters in here.

A tomb troll necromancer glances at the body of a tomb troll necromancer with a tyrannous look in her eye. Quickly, the necromancer removes a gourd rattle from her pouch and shakes it steadily as she stalks towards the corpse. The necromancer chants a dark invocation as black shadows and crimson tendrils crawl out of the rattle into the body. The necromancer abruptly ceases the ritual as she slams her rattle against the chest of the corpse! Slowly, the tomb troll necromancer begins to shudder, then she blinks her eyes and releases an unearthly moan as she rises slowly from the floor as an animated tomb troll necromancer.
