Ok so this happens to someone I know today

Deadguy dies and heroboy goes into save him.

Heroboy gets there and keeps deadguy, picks up deadguys chest and makes a familiar gate.

Drag deadguy mist
Round time 52 seconds (still in critterland)
Critters that are swarming splat heroboy 10 seconds into his 52 second RT...

Neither were encumbered and heroboy had strength on.

I played with dragging and dragged the same person 6 times and got a 15 second RT over half that time.

Thoughts?

realist, I like that. No more dragging 300 pounds people with a script as if you were dragging a pillow

Was it a halfling dragging a giant? Size does count...

I guess its realistic, but it doesn't make it fun.

I'd guess Heroboy is a pasty gnome/halfling weakling (no offense) and Deadguy is a four hundred pound giantkin. I know a really strong guy can carry all kinds of extra weight without being "encumbered" and that probably adds into it. Instead of failing to drag a million times in a row, you just get wicked bad RT. I'd wager the cause for your complaint is the upper limit of such RT, which is agreeably too high. I'd say 30 seconds would be a good high end, but I'm not in Saint Louie.

Edit: Kitsun beat me. :(

I was dragging people last night and never got any RT. I don't see what the issue is, if you're 150 pounds smaller than the dead weight don't drag it. Call for help and keep it kept.

Your a bloody giant WITH strength! For these last few weeks, it did feel good to be able to drag someone/something around with minimal effort. Now, its going right back to a point where it's probably worse than the rapidfire dragging we had before.

When did they add RT to dragging?

gs4, i'd say.

It was stupid by the way without rt. Now an other reason why halflling sux (at dragging, anyway, )

Yeah they added in RT to dragged with the switch to IV, however the most anyone ever saw was 1 second. Now during failed drags, you can have some insane RTs. With strength running I couldn't drag another elf through my damn wizard gate. Kept getting 15 second RT's. I think it might be bugged to have that single failure because I could drag him around the hunting ground most of the time.

Heroboy was an elf and Deadguy was a dwarf, I just think a minute without moveing is rediculous. I could see it take that long to complete the drag but not to TRY to drag.

Yeah, but, what was the Dwarf carrying? Did he bother to weigh him first?
