Got two boxfound runestaves that say this:
'The harmonics generated tell you that the runestaff helps defend the one who wields it.
Bard didn't know what it meant. I got another boxfound 4x runestaff that doesn't give that response.
Anyone able to shed some light?

Well, I thought we tested that, didn't see any difference. Also, the level of the bonus didn't show up in the bardsong, and it seems like it would.

Nah, I just found a +TD shield and the loresong didn't give a specific bonus for it, either. We had to test it to find out.

More testing. And no i don't think it will tell you how much of a defender it is. Need to test it.

Unless runestaves are completely different, you should be able to see the DS bonus directly in offensive by testing a normal same-enchant runestaff against that one, making sure to keep all other factors the same (only one attacker, same room, etc.).

Well I tested it out... DS one was 1 better with one staff, 3 better with the other. Had someone else hold the staff and test... first staff was 0 better, second staff still 3 better. So that doesn't make sense.
Could it be TD defense?

The harmonics generated tell you that the aegis serves to protect from magical attacks. The magical harmonics reveal that this is an item which serves as a shield when held in the left hand.
Thats the TD message
No, Kray. Tomorrow we'll test it out in offensive. But I'll use a normal 4x staff, cause my glowbark is +22. And you have to remember witchwood is +18.
So, tomorrow we'll see!
