With a small but steady dwindling player base, do you think gemstone will be around in 5 years? I've notice many players moving on to different times in their life, all in my short time back from a 2 year break.

What do you think?

I'm pretty sure it will be, barring a massive war or natural disaster that fucks over the world.

Would be rather exciting to see a whole change to the environment, perhaps a disaster that splits the realms magically that leaves the darker image of Elanthia filled with demons and monsters. (Think the 'ole creative Illoke and the Landing of yor) for Gemstone Fallen.

It won't go away, it will only get better.

It won't be around because the world as we know it will end on August 22, 2013. Definitely not from a war or massive disaster either. But that shit is ending son. Word up.

and i have always seen this as more of a dramatic social change, and not some doomsday event.

of course, for a lot of people, dramatic change = doomsday.

i can't wait til they want $7 a gallon and everyone stops driving. fat people will be dropping like flies. but we should'nt let them just die like that. bring back soilent green, i say.

I hope they get a 2nd season. It was bad ass.

Anyways...yeah, GSIV will be around for quite a while longer. I mean, they HAVE to be making a good profit.

It's not a great show, but I'm interested. Heroes, Terminator, House and Monk and I'm a happy camper. Spring and summer have no shows I like at all... so the Fall season always puts a grin on my face.


At any rate; yes. GS will be around in 5 years, 10 years, probably 15 years. Any other game would have packed up and gone home with 400 daily users, but not Gemstone... Nawp...

I think Virtual Reality MMORPG games whever they come out, which they probably will, will kill GS.

Then people will never leave the game, and probably actually sleep in them. And then the matrix will own us.

I've heard someone has one of the older engines and can play 1 player GS... I don't now if this is true or not.
