The storm steered clear of the Tampa bay area. We get bands of bad rain, but we've probably received maybe an inch since Fay came to Florida.

Concern is fine, but pushing it after people tell you the facts is...weird.

If there was an earthquake in LA, and I call my friends in san francisco to see if they're okay, and they're like "Umm, yeah, we didn't feel anything", and I went "Are you sure??? Because I read that there was an earthquake" (which, actually, I guess my mother did when I lived out there).

It takes 12 hours to drive from one end of Florida to the other. The entire state did not get 25 inches of rain. If someone tells you otherwise, don't try to convince them that they're wrong.

It was mildly amusing. I had to call one of our surgical suppliers today and the guy there was kinda pissed. He knew I was in Tampa so asked if we even saw anything. After I told him no he told me they were in Jacksonville and how he was pissed cause he had to go to work today.
