I got my DK up to 56 last night pretty quickly. So far, I'm not that thrilled with the class.. but it's real early. I would like to get him up some levels before deciding whether or not to roll one up and level him come the expansion.

Finished up the DK questline... I was actually impressed. It was easy to complete and you end up with a full set of quality blue gear by the time you are 58.

I'm not looking forward to grinding out all the extra 15 levels, but I might make a DK my main.

My DK is 58, bu the lack of my addons is bugging me. I hate Blizz's standard action bars.

So far, I'm frost, and the effects are wicked cool, but I'm having trouble figuring out the cycles I should be using, and diseases, and what not.

Although I'm sticking to no addons, I'm pretty sure there are a slew that were updated to be tested/used. I doubt it would be every niche addon out there, but at the least there should be some action bars to use. You may want to check in the Beta UI Forum (http://beta.worldofwarcraft.com/forums/) or even at the major addon sites. For BC I know that the big ones hosted beta compatible addons along with the regular ones.

PS. Not sure if they got around to fixing it, but you used to be able to steal one of the tiny ponies for the DK questline. Let's just say the sight of a Tauren riding around on a miniature pinto left me laughing way too long.

You can steal it, but it's for a quest. You have to turn in the pony in. I tried later on, but they only give you the option to attack it.

Man.. the more I play a Death Knight.. the more I am liking them. I LOVE the ability to physically pull a mob right too you.. and the pets, while very short lived, are a blast. Their leap cracks me up.. as well as their crouch tanking ability. I'd love to hit 80 in beta just to see Army of the Dead.. but it's extremely unlikely.

I think for tanking, even though the 'guides' say Frost is the main tanking spec.. it seems like you don't have to go down that far on the Frost tree to gain the most beneficial tanking skills... and unholy has some great multi-mob aggro talents like Blight, Corpse explosion and Anti-Magic zone. Bone Shield and On the Pale Horse are good tanking talents. The frost 50 talent, Hungering Cold, seems more like a mass CC spell than a tanking spell.

My level 58 Deathknight is destroying mobs very easily. I think I had to heal myself once out of 35-40 mobs level 60-62... and he's unholy specced currently.

I got into the beta now too, and also loving the unholy spec DK. I kind of regret I don't have the time to level to 80 as I'd like to test out the tanking specs since the one role I can't really fill well for my guild right now is tank. I'd try and tank one of the lower instances, but since the only other characters in the early Outlands zones are all Deathknights too, it's a bit difficult.

I've been playing on the PTR (new talents and stuff), and arcane mages are ridiculously awesome right now. There's no need to use anything that's not instant cast.

Ret paladins are way OP and I'm sure will be nerfed soon. Arcane mages will probably get a nerf one way or another too, but ret paladins definitely need it.

Frost is fun and I like the playstyle better than arcane because arcane is super ez mode right now to the point where I can see it becoming boring (at least at 70), but arcane is just too much pwnage to pass up right now.

Fire runs OOM in about 10-15 seconds, and Firestarter is bugged and doesn't work.

This is all regarding pvp.

This morning. It wasn't anything to do with beta.

Basically I was trying to configure a port on my router so I could send/receive some work files, left the configuration screen open while I went to get bath time going for the kids. During that time one of them (had to be Caleb that sneaks SOB) started "typing" and he closed a few ports.

Two basic resets didn't find it and I wasn't looking for a port change....so it took me getting frustrated and reseting to factory and configuring it back port by port.

16 more years and they can go to boot camp.

Nah. All honor/marks will be reset to 0 so people don't have an 'unfair advantage'. I'm honor/mark maxed so I think it sucks, but whatever.

So to get any gear, you spend arena points AND honor? So no more using just honor for older season stuff.

I heard at first they were going to make a new system. So the old honor, arena and marks could be spent on the current level 70 gear. Then they'd put in new honor, arena and marks to purchase the level 80 gear. Then they thought about it for a minute, said "fuck all that" and decided that a wipe would be the easist way to go.

I probably don't really care. It doesn't really make sense to be able to grind at level 70 for level 80 gear. I know we couldn't earn arena points before level 70, once BC hit. It still would have been nice to not waste previously earned points on gear you'll throw away though.

Well, scratch that honor/token reset:

We had hoped that the introduction of some new Honor rewards in the upcoming patch would give players a great opportunity to spend any of their remaining Honor. However, many players would still be surprised by an Honor and token reset as it isn’t something we’ve done in the past. As such, we've decided to not reset Honor or tokens upon the release of Wrath of the Lich King. Players who save their Honor will be able to spend it on level 80 rewards, although those rewards will be significantly more expensive than their level 70 counterparts.

My guess, since this is something they just announced.. is that it is going to take much more honor to purchase a piece of gear at level 80. Example, a chest piece that now costs 15000 honor, will cost 80,000 honor at level 80. But, at level 80, you will get much more honor in BGs than you do at level 70.. thus making your banked honor at level 70 worth far less than it does at level 70.

Personally, my plan is to gear up the toons I plan on grinding out to level 80 with a mixture of pvp and pve epics to make the grind easier and worry about level 80 items when I'm level 80.

I reinstalled WoW last weekend in a moment of weakness. I didn't actually rectivate Dimar's account yet though. I was thinking rerolling alliance on a PvE server where some RL buddies are since I never really adapted to open PvP.

Yeah my leveling plan is to run 5-man instances when ever I can, to get the free rep. If no instance is available, then pvp for a little to get honor and expo. Then quest if no instance is available and when I'm tired of pvping.

Dimar you sure you want to reroll noob on a pvnoob server? You might miss round 7 (or whatever we're at now) of Monkey's epic Jackassery.

I'll probably get my ranger in GS to 100 then check out WoW again. He's been 99 for months since I took a break from gaming for a while there.

My rogue is 70, my spriest is now 68, real close. I think I had a realization that I suck at this game in the past week. I tried to be the rogue CoSing thru Vexallus adds in MgT (Heroic) the other day and I totally wiped the whole group, lol.

Hmmm my main is a holy priest in pve gear on a pvp server..easy hk if there ever was one. I just play smarter(run in groups, don't go to isle of qq in the evening, etc), & wear my generic 'o shit' pvp trinket + my bit of +dmg/stam gear I've aquired when I'm out & about solo.

And really if someone really wtfpwns me on my priest..I laugh it off, not like mr rogue or pvplawlzwarrior had to work that damn hard to off me /golfclap.

Camp me you say? Okay I'll either get guildmates & friends to melt your face or just go get fresh air for awhile(I suppose you could work on an alt if you just have to be in wow).

You clearly forget the leveling talents Matray has always had. He got from 1-70 in about 4 weeks. It was sick. PLUS this time he's working... which makes it even more sick.

You were probably in your pve gear and your pve spec.. Kallell is a real bitch to kill now in pvp gear and a heavy discipline spec. I was in WSG yesterday and I think the rogues just ran from me as they didn't want to deal with wasting so much time and not getting an HK from it.

Yeah my main was a holy priest who didn't have any PvP gear until he was 70. It was frustrating leveling/grinding when solo. Once I hit 70, I got a full S1/S3 set and then the change allowing +heal to count for +dmg really made a difference in surviving attempted ganks. I still died most of the time but I lasted a little longer once I got the PvP set. If they gave priests a reliable CC it would be much easier.

I saw Daakkin the other day while I was doing dailies. He sends me a tell very structured and polite something to the effect if I was the same Littlefang. I miss his great sayings. He kept a whole guild going for years.
