Does anything other than survival training assist in helping you avoid slipping on the ice patches in the keen?
And how much survival for zero slippage?
Does it hurt to wait 5 seconds?!

I am not entirely sure. It's kinda fun though, climbing up the keen while a griffin is chasing you. Haha. So much excitement!

I'm 1x in survival and I slip once in a while. I heard someone with 2x in survival won't slip at all though

That must make wizards cry on the inside.
Fortunately, not me. Thanks!

I never had a problem with the ice patches.

Did you ever even hunt keen?

No I just said I never had problem with the ice patches for shits and giggles....unless you're talking about:

In which case I lived up there for several levels when I got bored with skull temple. While there I never had problem with the ice patches.

I'm actually really surprised then. But maybe I just want to move around there a LOT faster.

Why? It's not an area that is so massive it requires a speed script/movement to get through to fry.
I'm not sure if spells play a part in ice patches but I generally had all my own buffs (to include haste and shields) as well as a ranger spellup (lights, deeps, colors, mobiles, etc)

Ranger spellup may have helped.
But here's the point. I'm capped. I only want to farm the skins, lolz.

Hasn't it been a few years since you've played, though? Maybe when you were playing, the falling/Survival thing wasn't implemented.

It's been a few years true. But when I was playing you could still get sent down the mountain on your ass due to ice patches, I'm not sure what factors were in play but I'd assume, given the pacing of GS, it hasn't changed all that much with that mechanic.

This question came up recently, either in the ranger folder or in general mechanics.
I am also 1x in survival and slip pretty regularly. Someone in the other thread posted that he noticed a big difference between being 2x and 1x in survival. 2x survival definitely seems to translate to rarely slipping, if ever.
