Trapped boxes

What critters drop the most trapped boxes. I know some (fire guardians?) are almost never trapped. But what critters drop boxes with the highest trap percentage do you think?

I ask because I'm on Rank 42 of Lockmastery and have been sitting on 'get 2 acid vials' for 5 days now... pain in the ass...

Im just speculating, because I don't know if the treasure system is skewed that way or not, however, I found the majority of boxes I pulled in harbingers in Darkstone were trapped. Good luck with your ranks. :)

I have never noticed one type of critter dropping more traps than others...probably just a roll of the dice, but dang near every box my mage has got from Wraiths over the last couple days has had scarabs.

I always get good traps from OTF (Ithzir).

I feel like "intelligent" critters drop boxes with a higher chance of being trapped - ie, Sheru monestary, ithizir.

That may be just that I notice that more, but who knows.

Try Fire Ogres, Fire trolls etc. in teras if you can kill them, they drop boxes all the time, i go for a good 20 minutes and walk out with my disk, and containers generally full... they're like level 35 or something i think?

war and hill trolls on the slope drop a good amount of boxes. skin the war trolls and sell the hearts to an alchemist--cleric, empath or sorcerer for 113 potions.

edit: there's also a very good chance I have acid vials boxes sitting in a locker.

Within the last 3 or 4 hunts, I found a claidhmore with +4 to Health Recovery and a Mithglin two handed sword that's been enchanted to 4x. :D

I have been hunting roa'ters for roughly 2.5 weeks, and gotten about 40-50 boxes in that time.. I say that 75-80% have been trapped... lowest end about a -180 and topping out thus far with rods at about -265...

I was getting 6 or 7 shan boxes in 5 minutes of hunting.
