what are the effects that happens to the wizard who casts the spell?

The wizard casting leech will drain mana from the target UNLESS:
1) Target has no mana
2) Wizard is already full on mana
3) Has casted the spell too much and burnt it out for a while

Your maximum leech per cast is directly equal to the number of spell ranks in Major Elemental.

Each subsequent cast reduces that maximum by approximately 10%.

Maximum mana drain I have no idea how to calculate.

If you burn out the spell, some people have posted wait times of 10-14 minutes. This is supposed to be somehow linked to Elemental Mana Control.

I havnt burned it out yet, and i use it 10+ times a hunt easily. Every hunt.

How do you use it?

I tend to target 1 creature, prep it with 413, then drain out about 120 mana. My hunts don't last more than 6-10 minutes.

If you hunt for longer and have breaks in between, you'll probably be less likely to burn out.

I use it the same way, but i use cone alot, so i repeat that process about 3-4 times a hunt.

I usually wait a good 3-4 minutes before leeching. I've only burnt out when mana hungry for Cone.
