So I was looking for something in my sorc's locker and now she's out of the bag, I have to get her stats done. Would anyone mind helping me? I'm not sure on WHAT sorcs need anymore, so I need stats, etc. It would be appreciated. Here are her current.

And what about those runestaffs? I think I want to switch her to those. So I'd drop all edged and shield?

Id say go with the following as a base for a runestaff sorcerer:

.5x PT
2x Arcane
2x MIU
2x spells
1x-2x Spell Aim(helps your bolt spells and Focused Implosion)
2x Harness Power
1x in both elemental and spiritual share
1x sorcerous lore

I also suggest getting 1x in perception, just something i have always had my characters do. Depending how you see your sorcerer you might want to get 6 ranks of armor so you can wear doubles, if you do id shoot for them by 30 trains. The above training will give you 12-13 magic ranks per train which will give you decent parriable defense.

Thanks! Do the Stats look ok? They are still based off the GS3 version.

Be prepared to be able to carry very little without becoming encumbered (less of a problem for Sorcs). Plus, your DS will be lower because of your decreased Agility and Dex. You will not be able to dodge maneuvers or evade very well. The others look pretty good for a casting sorc.

Sorry again, but Dex has nothing to do with DS.

But i agree that with low weight/strength, your gonna be sorry when wearing too much fluff

Its said Dex keys into blocking, which provides extra protection. Fucking idiot. It also is part of the Ranged AS (ie BOLT AS) equation. Now that 102 doesn't reduce your bolt AS, and 2x Spell Aim is a standard among sorcerers, its a pretty nice stat to have.

I, personally Aim for 1x PT for life with all my chars, but I find most people don't agree with me ;)

This is how I had my young sorcerer going.

2x Scroll
2x MIU
2x Spell Aim
2x Harness Power
1x Spirit mana Control
1x Elemnetal Mana control
1x Sorcery Lore
1x PT
2-3x Spells as the points allowed.
1x Percpetion

I also nabbed 4 ranks of armor when I could. From that base, I just tacked on more of what I wanted, when I could.

Someone told me Sorcerers needed like 16 ranks of armor to wear double. If you're getting six, does that just get rid of the sorcerer penalties and you take them off to do the elemental/spirit spell ups?

Six is fine due to the bonuses you'll have from your Agility and Dexterity. Eight to be sure.

6 is all it takes. I wear double with minimal hinderence. Its definately worth moving up to double in my opinion, i miss 1% more casts than normal and im in better protection. Its a good deal to me.

Sorcerers? No. It helps with skinning and with weather effects. Its nice, but by no stretch of the imagination a core skill.

I keep mine trained in it. Im also not 2x in spell aim, 1x is sufficient for me.
