Okay. Not to be mean but she finally came clean after two people busted her and made her step up and prove it. One way or another she would have kept on. Until they got mad at her and told the truth. She lied. Now everyone is excusing her because she came clean? So it took balls for to come clean about something everyone already knew? I don't think so.

I'm not going to sit and praise her I'm sorry she lied and only stepped up after she got caught. Maybe it did take alot to come clean but she only did it because she was in fact completely busted.

Teeoncy cannot expect to be accepted by everyone to whom she lied repeatedly. Lying is something that is not easily forgiven by everyone, especially when lies continue when multiple chances are given to tell the truth; nor, when friendship, support and help are offered and met with more lies. That is a fact of life that Sarah will have to live with. It is a harsh lesson to learn, unfortunately.

From my point of view, what Teeoncy has done by coming clean about the whole mess is to bring some peace to herself. She will benefit more from this than anyone else. She may have lost some would-be friends, but she now has a better chance to make new friends and retain them. :)

While I do believe it was difficult for Sarah to "come clean", and that doing so will bring opportunities for HER to feel better about herself, I understand exactly where those like Weedie, Tijay and Stray are coming from.

People were hurt (or, potentially hurt), despite Sarah's protestations to the contrary. It is obvious from reading what Sarah has to say about all that went on that she is still primarily concerned about her own feelings. She has still not learned to consider the feelings of others.

Lying sucks, yes. However, lying is not the REAL problem here. Betrayal is, and betrayal sucks a lot more than lying. Sarah betrayed quite a few people. Several of us began by defending her, as Tijay has pointed out. She betrayed us. Some people went out of their way to trust, believe, and befriend her. She betrayed them. Weedie and Stray had done nothing to her, yet her actions could have cost them dearly. She betrayed them, as well.

While it is very sweet of Lalana to offer forgiveness, and to bring to the attention of others Sarah's efforts to straighten out her lies, the betrayals will still sting. That is why forgiveness will not come easily. For some, it will never come...nor, should it.

I find it hard to have too much sympathy for her to be honest. Ok, so she came clean, she had to because the lies were closing in around her and she had no other choice. Of course it shows that she has a little more courage than before, but I don't think its anything to commend highly.

I feel sorry for her cousin as well, pretty harsh thing to do, since the content of some of the photos were not exactly family viewing.

Also, the respect I had for those that quite clearly lied for her, has diminshed significantly. The thing is, we all tell stupid lies sometimes, but this girl caught herself and others in her web of lies, now we are expected to pat her on the back? Heh, I think I'll wait for a bit more evidence of her changing before I make the effort.

I agree with everyone that said her coming clean doesn't change very much. Most of us (who truly saw who she was) knew the pictures weren't her, knew she never met Chad, and knew that she was lying about everything. Did it take courage to admit to lying? Yes. But for her? No.

As someone who has struggled with body image and weight loss, I can understand her issues to an extent. I'm not excusing her behaviour, I think shes as fucked up as the next person but I worry about peoples feelings a lot, and I know how much comments like that affect people who worry about their body image. I wouldn't wish that hurt on anyone, not even her.

Of course, we all have our own opinions, and I respect yours. Mine just happens to be different.

Talking about how she looks is fine, all I was questioning was the post that just said 'somewhat chubby'. It implied that was all that needed to be said about her. However, he explained it was an offhand remark and he didnt mean anything sinister by it, so its cleared up.

Ok, since you insist on dragging this out I will explain my point of view again. I personally felt that the comment that was made was spiteful, and that the poster felt all that needed to be said was that she was chubby, implying in my opinion that it was the biggest issue, when it isnt.

Sarah gets absolutely no sympathy from me. I am glad she admitted to lying so that it may finally convince those who kept defending her. It was obvious it was not her on the original pictures. Not because the girl on the pics is really pretty but mainly because Sarah turned down many easy ways of proving it without having a good reason to do so. Whether the new picture is really her or not, I don't really care but I'm not ready to accept everything she says as truth because she admitted to some lies. It could be an elementary tactic to validate more lies.

It if is indeed the truth, she gets no pat on the back either. Yes, I'm sure it took a desperate kind of courage to do it but that's only the first step. To me she is like an alcoholic. Admitting to being an alcoholic is the first step but that's not where they get the proud pat on the back, it's after a long time of being sober. If Sarah can refrain from lying in the future, that would be something for her to be proud of (since no one else would never know for sure).

I believe people can change. I am always ready to give them another chance but that doesn't mean I have to be a blind fool in the process and forget what was done in the past.

I wish you well Sarah and I hope you grow to find the path of truth to be more rewarding than that of lies.

Because you'd have a hard time proving that money is moved away from pediatrics for the express purpose of going into military expediatures. I just got done reading all these posts and I do want to say that I am sorry for anyone I hurt in the process of my lying. I did not realize that I would hurt anyone being that it is online. I am sorry. My cousin did know that I was posting her pictures and she thought it was funny. She doesn't play Gemstone so she doesn't care too much. She even suggested that she would take pictures with signs but I've been looking for an easy way out of this lie and finding none I just came out and said it. I am sorry for those I have hurt. I Didn't have a scanner to scan the real pictures until I got a scanner this christmas. Plus I have been giving her pics out since I was like 12... She is ten times prettyer then I am and I enjoyed the attention I was getting. It was wrong and again I am sorry for those I hurt. I do not expect those who I hurt to forgive me or be nice. I do NOT expect that at all. I am trying to change and although I lost old friends...I can now be true to new ones and build stronger relationships then before. Again I am sorry for any I hurt or felt dumb because of me. All I can do is learn from my mistakes and I thank all those who have bitched at me and have helped me learn.

I know many of you believe this picture still isn't me. I gave Fizzan one with a sign.. I do not want to show it though because he has his real name on it and I am not going to give out that Info. I'll say it for the 22nd time, since I don't have an "obsession" about her. She hasn't changed. She still lies. No one changes that fast, and for someone who says she's trying, she's only trying where it doesn't matter to her.

Apparently, protecting whoever told her the LIE about the IP information is more important than StrayRogue, who she called a friend, who was nice to her. Beat her up? Where? In the game? That's called OOC and PvP. In real life? That's called assault and you tell the police and your parents. So no one is going to "beat her up" for telling Stray the truth about the IP lie!

You know what the truth is? She told people she got it from Stray because she made a bad decision about who to blame when she got trapped. Maybe she thought, in her warped little way, that being her friend, he would stick up for her. That he would take the fall. There is no other person.
