I know most of you really don't care, but here's another example of what Sorrow can let a warrior do in a warcamp. I've Bolded/Italicized (Berserk 1 / Berserk 2)the seperate berserks so you can see what's going on without the effort of close discernment:

A great hut stands within a clearing unto itself in the encampment of the Grimswarm. Twin red and black banner poles flank its entrance, while bodies lashed to the walls with cords of leather decorate its exterior. Pale grey curls of smoke drift from the top of the hut, spiraling towards the smoke haze above the warcamp. Next to the hut, suspended upside down on a wood rack is the rotting corpse of a troll, pierced through the heart with a massive boar spear. You also see a Grimswarm orc guard and a Grimswarm orc guard.

In the center of the warcamp is a wide area bordered by the many ragged tents and huts of the Grimswarm. A towering wooden flagpole is situated at the north end of the assembly area and is flanked by a series of iron spikes driven into the ground, topped with sun-bleached skulls. Lying so much like a forgotten rag doll, a body has been discarded in the middle of the open space, its limbs sprawled and twisted at unnatural angles. You also see a Grimswarm orc guard and a Grimswarm orc guard.

If he's double berserking, that sword is like the best weapon for a MoCing berserker.

I wouldn't have coded it out like that if I wasn't berserking twice.

Every 5 seconds I was doing TWO entire sets of berserk mstrikes. If there would have been enough mobs, I could have swung 10 times every 5 seconds with that 630 AS. It was pretty hot.

Keep in mind Sorrow's berserk-causing function is considered a liability, not an asset (because many classes being berserked by it would consider it BAD, being in offensive stance with little to no MOC, forced to swing once every 5 seconds).

But for a warrior who is already berserking anyway, it's pretty sweet to have a second berserk timer start up and get DOUBLE the amount of attacks per round.

I wouldn't. I mean, that's why I pointed out that it's actually a LIABILITY to just about any other class. It's one of Sorrow's backlash functions, and not something that I can trigger at will.

Any class using Sorrow except a warrior CANNOT trigger a double berserk. And any other class besides maybe Rangers, Rogues or Paladins extensively skilled in MOC would be dead meat from it even triggering berserk (in the type of scenario it's happening to me in).

I wouldn't. I mean, that's why I pointed out that it's actually a LIABILITY to just about any other class. It's one of Sorrow's backlash functions, and not something that I can trigger at will.

Any class using Sorrow except a warrior CANNOT trigger a double berserk. And any other class besides maybe Rangers, Rogues or Paladins extensively skilled in MOC would be dead meat from it even triggering berserk (in the type of scenario it's happening to me in).

I don't believe it would be hard to do a code check (I looked at the code myself when I had it) and skip berserk as a backlash affect for warriors. That said, putting a coder on a weapon that is unique in prime and unique in plat would be retarded, given everything else there is too do.

Also, once you've completely bonded to the weapon (it's time based, not warrior bond), all the backlash affects are minimized to almost nothing, unless you are trying to use Sorrow's powers when she isn't "charged" from hunting.

I suggest you get one of the mods to hide this thread or at least edit that above portion. I think Warden checks these boards once in a while. And if you're doing that much damage (essentially 2 MoC'd Berserkers in one) Warden will nerf Sorrow in a second.

You could let someone else use it for awhile. That would be stupid though, as berserk is only one of the backlashes, and the others can be much, much worse. Half your spirit, long stuns, random amounts of your health, ETC. The spirit one had me a few times praying I didn't drop a sign.

That doesn't bother me, because I think it's as intended, considering if you mstrike there is no way you are doing it in less than 5 seconds beyond 2 creatures.

I personally think zerking is retarded. I really wish they implemented my idea of adding a random offensive warcry every round, or at the very least, on the initial attack.

Just curious at cap with maxed stats,skills, possibly some enhancives how long can you berserk before your stam runs out? Whats the staying power of berserk? Is it really ring in, .xhunt, go eat dinner, ring out?

.xhunt can be anything. Durfin said he doesn't berserk often, he just has a script, Mad berserks all the damn time and if you read any of his logs you will see you don't need staying power, just about 30seconds and your done.

Well to answer the question though, I can go for almost a solid 5 mins without stopping because I have 3x PF with 200 stamina, and I gain back so much stamina every 30 seconds, that it perpetuates downwardly for a long time before I finally run out.

The only reason it DOESN'T last me to perpetuity is because of the other things that occur that take large hits of stamina (mobility causing me to stand up, the fact that I use Surge, etc.)
