I found some old Busch beer cans in an attic and was wondering if they have any value. The complex was built in the 70's and these were probably from then. They are old school cans, with the pull off tabs. They are in almost perfect shape.
I know nothing about collecting anything except comic books and just wonder if it really is just trash.

They're pretty much as worthless as your comic book collection. Save yourself the trouble and toss them both.

Since my comic book collection was valued at $2500 about 10 years ago, I guess I'll look for some more informed opinions.

What do you have in your collection pulling that kind of price? comics are pretty much worthless right now after everyone and their brother decided to start collecting them in the 80s.
w/o knowing what books you have if you actually got a cash offer of 2500 you should take it. Now if you're just talking about potential value based on mint condition "blue book" that's entirely different and not exactly accurate.
Your beer cans still aren't worth shit.

Comic values dropped when everyone realized there were literally millions of people buying multiple issues of a new releases. It caused a false inflation of value. Unless you have some golden age comics in premo condition or rare/popular titles from the 60s-70's .... much of your collection is worth less than the price stamped on the cover.

given that the first beer can was produced in 1935...um, you're wrong.
and i'm aware that the older (therefore rarer) the can, the more valuable it is. i'm just saying that it's not necessarily the case that they "aren't worth shit," as you so eloquently put it.

and $1 is $1. PB, take the 20-30 cans you found. Sell them. Go buy more beer. Leave empty cans in your attic. in 20-30 years, the cycle will repeat itself.

Batman #14.
That's a very serious comic. Only five left in existence.
Four actually. I'm always looking out for the other three...

Collections are worth as much as the person collecting them wants to pay. Maybe beer cans aren't worth a ton to just anyone, but if you found a buyer on something like ebay that just couldn't wait to have them (I have no idea if you could sell that type of thing on ebay, just for example) then you could make a ton. So.. if you have the time and the desire to do a little bit of poking it could pay off or not, it wont hurt anything to try though. :)

For some reason they made a lost boys sequel recently. I think it went straight to video.

Yeah they did, and both Coreys are in it. The trailer I saw a while back looked more like a Buffy movie than a Lost Boys sequel.
I expect it to be quite terrible but I'm gonna check it out anyway.

there's so much crap circling around the coreys, it's hysterical. corey haim apparently went crazy during the shoot and doesn't appear in the movie because his scene got cut? he responded by doing a bunch of coke in his trailer while his mic was still on.
reality tv, yay!

They should at least put the sound of him snorting coke with his mic on in the movie.

They ain’t worth a damn if they ain’t got no beer in em. Even then, Busch?
But seriously... try to E-Bay one. That should give you a measure of their worth.
If you can’t get anything good donate them to the Smithsonian.

No one has asked the obvious question: empty or full?
Because I'd pay someone $20 to drink one.
Another option with the recent sale of AB to the Belgians is to see if the factory wants to buy it for their museum.

6 are full, 17 are empty. 5-6 are crushed and obviously worthless. There was a case of Busch and they also had some half quarts. The cans are thick as shit and the old pull tabs.
I've sent an email to a website which supposedly 'values' them. I'll let you know when I get any info back.

Just make sure it is an American company. We don’t want to sell everything to the Belgians.

I would suggest that you've fucking lost it.. but then again, I don't think you ever had it.

With the exception of you, I'm pretty sure most of the readers know exactly what I mean.
I can't dumb it down any further. Sorry.

I still wanna know who offered the 2500 bucks for the comics and what's in them thats worth so much!
I’ll take the $20 to drink one. And not because I’m broke.

It's not 1 comic book, it's more like 700. No one offered me 2500 bucks, they were appraised at 2500 dollars.
The ones that are(were) appraised the highest were the early prints of Spiderman.. one is (was) worth $450 at the time.. no idea about now. I'm pretty sure the collection is worth at least $2500 today, as the most valuable books are more rare today than they were 10 years ago.

I was flipping channels and I saw a couple of episodes of their reality show a couple weeks ago, and that episode was one of the ones I saw. He was high during filming and he couldn't remember his lines for a whole day, and everyone was getting pissed at him. It was pretty pathetic, really.

They did do that - on their reality show though, heh.

It might be worth something PB. I remember I had a 1993 coca cola can (I think it was NFC champions not the superbowl) that was worth like 5 bucks. That's a pretty good return for probably a quarter investment. Sadly I drank it.
