Two weeks ago, I sent in an application to Shippensburg University, hoping to transfer into the biotechnology program and take a pre-forensics concentration.

I just heard a few minutes ago from the transfer counselor, and I've been accepted! I'll be going to Shippensburg in the fall!

Without going into too many details, this is huge for me. It's a culmination of over two years' worth of work, and I finally get the chance to really go after what I want to do in life.

Yay transferring!

The U.S. News & World Report again ranked Shippensburg University among the top public universities in the North in its book "America's Best Colleges 2006." In the annual rankings, Shippensburg is tied for ninth among the top regional public institutions in the North and is tied for 50th among all institutions in the North region.

Niiiiiice.

Grats!

What if they were to offer you a Manhattan Transfer instead?

Thank you everyone for your thoughts! I'm really happy that I'll be going to Shippensburg.

I live in PA, so tuition, room and board altogether should only be 7k a semester. With my college fund, I might actually be able to graduate completely paid off. I can apply for an internship at the local crime lab and there's a possibility of working with the state police. I already have a few friends that go there, and I stayed with one of the biology professors for a month while I took a summer class there last year in crime scene investigation, so I won't be completely lost.

Everything really just fell into place more than I could have imagined, and I'm ecstatic at this opportunity. I plan on trying for graduating with honors, and I know that if I put the work in, I'm more than able to do it.

No, I'll be taking those classes once I get to Ship. I've taken a lot of other classes already and knocked out a bunch of gen eds, so I should be going in as a sophomore or junior, depending on what else I need to take.

What if they were to offer you a Manhattan Transfer instead?
I guess I'd just have to go down to Birdland, then.

Awesome! I was looking for the thread where I posted the "PCSI" pic I made, but I can't find it at the moment.

Congrats! Biotechnology was one of my majors too. It's a fascinating field, and forensics doubly so!

<peers into the future and sees>

You see Nilandia Liserna the Chirurgeon.
She appears to be a Sylvankind.
She is tall and appears to be youthful. She has softly sparkling, gold-flecked forest green eyes and smooth, creamy white skin. She has long, golden-highlighted, sunset red hair scattered with red and blue ship-shaped confetti. She has a gentle and delicate face, a slender nose and slightly upswept ears that taper into fine points. She has slender hands with long, soft fingers and gently curving rose-red lips.
She is in good shape.
She is holding an off-white diploma tied with red and blue ribbons in her left hand and a 'Big-Red' penant in her right hand.
She is wearing deep red mortar-board with a long dark blue tassel, a filigreed golden ship necklace strung on a fine gold chain, a calf-length deep red graduation gown with dark blue border over a pretty navy blue dress, and a pair of open-toed braided leather sandals.

Congrats and good luck!
