Jury awards jilted bride $150k (http://news.aol.com/article/jury-awards-jilted-bride-150000/101241)

The jilted bride filed suit against her ex. She maintained she gave up a high-paying job in Florida to move closer to Gibbs and that their break-up caused her to suffer financially as well as emotionally.

"He made a promise to me and I relied on that promise and gave up a lot of things because of that promise and I suffered significantly for it," Shell told NBC's "Today" show on Friday.

WTF? You can get pwned for breaking up with someone now?

Stupid woman, quitting her job before the ring is on her finger. Well, not so stupid I guess since she got rewarded for it in the end.

Horrible decision by that jury imo.

So she should have gotten married first then moved?

Yes.

She shouldn't have been rewarded for making a lousy decision.

And, after watching the video, I think the guy got off cheaper than he would have had he married her and things hadn't worked out. What a golddigger.

I know it was different in the past, but as it stands now marriage is a contract that definitely benefits women at the expense of men.

Now the contract is being extended even further. Great.

I'd really like to get married at some point. But then again, I only get one chance at life. I don't know if I want to risk having the rest of it screwed up just because some girl decides she isn't into it anymore, and then legally gets to run off with half of my shit.

I am a naïve sunnuvabitch for thinking she was suing the bridal services before I clicked.

Speaking of unneeded wedding rings...do you just pawn them or is there a place you can get a better deal? I've been trying to figure out where the money is best to get rid of mine.

I wouldn't pawn a wedding or engagement ring if my life counted on it. I'm too superstitious for all that. Don't want any badluck. But!

If you're looking to sell your rings, search online for trade in gold or whatever, like those commercials. They offered me like 300 bucks, which was pretty much the price of the ring. Or just look at different pawn shops.

ebay! might also get the shop you bought it from to resell it on commission or something
