View Full Version : Building a Fire?

When I end up in one of those nodes where you can build a fire (ice cave in Icemule for example), and I want to start a fire, it is frequently the case that I pull two pieces of firewood from the fire (which are apparently too big to start a fire with) and I have to drop them and reach at the third firewood (because the noun for the pile of firewood is also firewood). So I constantly have to iterate fourth, fifth, etc. Until I get a wooden stick twice (since you need to throw some shit in the fire THEN start it).

Am I missing some kind of catchall verb for this?

To my knowledge, no. That is how I did it too.

I used up all my flint from the Storms of Fortune. Same deal with the 100k thumpers. Items involving spontaneous combustion are too awesome to horde. It doesn't matter how I RP my characters, if I have a matchbox in my inventory, it doesn't matter who, I am compelled to text-based ignite shiznod.

How do you light the fire pit in the ice cave? I tried 100 different ways to put the firewood/sticks in the fire pit, but couldn't.

Rub the sticks.

Some of them are significantly dependent on the survival skill. When I was hunting on the Sleeping Lady Mountain, sometimes it would take me like 10+ 30 second tries before I'd get it lit, and by then I was ready to go back out.

What did the flint do?

B2 could you post your stats? I get it first try every time (except for once) with zero survival in all of the nodes in that area: lesser ice giants, glacei/tigers/bears, and seekers.
