View Full Version : Help needed - pulling pics from an online slideshow

Okay so...I have this online slideshow that Glamour Shots sent me from when the hubby and I did our maternity photo shoot. The pics aren't all that high quality (naturally - they don't want to put great pics up for you to be able to steal).
It's visible online with a slideshow and I tried doing the print screen thing to be able to copy the picture and then paste it to grab the shot...but it doesn't seem to be working.
I was wondering if there's any other way to snag the slideshow from the web or to snag each picture individually. If anyone is able to maybe see if they can help, I'll send you the link to the slideshow and the email address that it's registered to so you can try.
I'd really appreciate it if anyone can help. I have until Sept 25th before the slideshow expires and I wouldn't mind grabbing all the pics even if they are shitty quality.
Thanks in advance :D

Yah well...I spent almost 300 bucks getting a photo collage done from them. To get one sheet (either 1 8x10, 2 5x7, or a sheet of wallets) it's 90 bucks from Glamour Shots.
I figured...I'd rather have a big 16x20 collage for my wall for pregnancy shots since I don't think a bunch of people don't want preggo pics, they'd rather have baby pics.
But I wouldn't mind having the slideshow for myself just to have the pics.
And they charge like 100 bucks for a sheet copy of the proofs and the pics would be teeny tiny (smaller than wallets).

You can alway press the print screen button and paste into your preferred image editor, then crop away. Won't get good resolution to print from, but you'll have the images

I've tried that and it's not working. I hit print screen and then when I go to paste, there's nothing to paste. I tried it from a couple different computers.
Print screen works for other sites, so I don't know if somehow they have it disabled that print screen won't work or what.

Two ways that I can think of off the top of my head. Because it's a flash file, you can grab the .swf file from your temp internet files and open it with some flash editing software to pull each pic off it. Kind of a big pain in the ass, but that's the easy way to gave them in the quality they are in there.
Outside that, you can PRINT SCREEN every time a new image flashes up, paste in a paint program while pausing the flash player while you do it. And just save them that way.
There may be some other ways to do it that are slightly more involved, but that's all I can think of off the top of my head.

Glad someone finally gets it right. For those that don't understand what I mean, read below:
A hacker is either a black, grey, or white hat (three main types within society). Basic breakdown is ethical behavior.
Black Hats obtain unauthorized access to systems for either mailicious, educational, or just plain fun.
White Hats obtain unauthorized access to systems for preventive reasons or detection (These are the more ethical guys).
Grey Hats really don't give a flip one way or another.
There are others, such as blue hats and script kiddies, but different topic.
The term cracker seperates the main stream from black and white hats in the sense that cracker is often used to describe an unlawful intent or action performed by a hacker. So when she said cracked, she was right on the money as it was unlawful.
I won't even get into phreakers, but I'm happy to see someone use the correct terminology and yes I am a damn nerd. :mackey:

I used to Phreak in the late 80's early 90's. Probably why I ended up in the telecommunications and IT industry for 9 years.

A fellow tech. You're still in it right?
I just posted a basic network security layout in another thread called hack'd. Wouldn't mind your input Sean2.
