The ringer tones for the new iPhones SUCK. I mean, really bad. Anyone have a good site for ringtones that I don't have to sign up for a subscription for?

Basically, I'm looking for the ESPN theme and the MNF theme.

Can't the iPhone do mp3 ringtones?

The iPhone reams you in terms of ringtones. You CAN use mp3's... but first you have to buy that song off iTunes for 0.99 (ripped music won't work... neither will P2P downloads), and then you have to pay 0.99 AGAIN to turn it into a ringtone. And it has a 30 second limit. I've already turned the intro to Stairway to Heaven into a ringtone, but it's so quiet even at full volume that I can't really use it.

Unfortunately, I don't think you can use ringtones from other sources. You'd have to jailbreak your iPhone otherwise.

That's bullshit. My Treo doesn't support mp3 ringtones out of the box, but its a free download away. Paying $2 for a ringtone is retarded when you're using a supposed "smartphone".

I use this website: http://www.myxertones.com/register/

You can create a personal account and search for music or you can upload your own music/images/videos/etc. Then you send it to your phone as a message and it opens up a web link that you download it from.

All you would pay for is the messaging fees if you have any.

God, I used to do so many ringtones for my buddies in my studio via MIDI. Not so much anymore with the advent of mp3 phones.

If there is a new 'lockout', maybe I can start authoring again- that'd be sick.
