Bard training path

When GS4 came out I took Czeska straight up the spell song list, which pleases me to no end.
once she's 35...
Minor elemental or more bard songs? I know the rest of the songs aren't implemented yet, but how high would you actually go?

Train MnE until you get it to 100 ranks. The extra DS, CS, and AS you'll get will please you even more than training further up your bard song list.

Also my first legend character was a bard. He got to 88 trainings without knowing a damn thing about bards.

He picked boxes post 30th training. :)

LOL Neff.

I'm looking over the spellsongs and considering training Bard til I cap the sonic armor at 40. That will also have shield capped, and Kai's (if I'm reading correctly).
Minor elementals don't thrill me so much anymore since my bf has a great lord wizard (yeah, well, can't blame me for using it).
And hunting with the 400's is too expensive for my liking, too. Bah, just dunno.

True, true. But still. +50 AS and +50 DS and +25 CS for a long time per cast. No spell can do better than that.

There is 0 benefit training in songs all the way in my opinion. Your CS/AS (even bard) will be even lower if you did that, rather than going to at least 425. So that said, I'd suggest getting to either 425, 430 (which unfortunately is nowhere near as useful as it used to be), or 435. I have 66 bard and 35 elemental.

Also, Soulpieced is right, except I would put more in MnE and less in bard. If you think of it this way, you take off 20 ranks from your bard and lose 20 bard CS, right?(wrong? what's the new CS formula again? anyway it's close to that), but you add 20 ranks onto your MnE, thus getting 1/3 of that CS back, or is it 1/2, anyway +10 right there, but you're also getting more of a bonus for your 425 and 430. So all in all, you're losing about 7 CS, and gaining about 15 DS and AS...If this made no sense, i'm not surprised. I'll elaborate when I get at home and have my formulas in front of me.

I would say get up to the maximum implemented bard song, and then pump the rest into MnE.

Actually Neff, the main reason for the much larger number in songs is because lullabye is worthless against OTF creatures with less. I can get either of the 2 sleep messages on most everything (which I damn well should since I'm 100) due to the songs. But this was NOT the case when testing with 51/50. Hence I went with 435 and the rest in songs.

Hrm. Didn't know Lullabye was affected by the number of songs. You really use lullabye to hunt though?

Lullabye is a great hunting spell for just a little mana.
I have 1002 and 1005 macro'd.

If I had to choose one spell and no other in the bard circle that I could use, it would be lullabye.
