How many PP will it cost to pad 7x armor? I couldn't make heads or tails of the fomula. I've never been good at math.

Okay.. Maybe I'll clarify. How many premium points will it take to add crit padding to 7x armor?

5500 if it's plain armor

What would increase the cost or make it not plain armor?

If you have a wad of premium points, you can get an alteration scroll and attempt to use the PCALC function. Be warned, though, it will let you know how much ONLY if you already have the sufficient amount, and picking up a scroll automatically temporarily deducts 600 from your total.

Depends on the type of additional enhancement.
PC Ranger Resist does NOT add to padding/enchant costs
Non-Combat related scripts do NO add to padding/enchant costs
Permanent element/damage type does add 1000 PPs to cost
Spiked adds 1000 PPs to cost
The presence of any and all Enhancives adds 1000
Elemental flares..cannot coincide with padding at any cost. They take up the same slot.

Those surcharges are cumulative, by the way, and if you have more than one of them, or something truly unusual, you can expect an additional penalty slapped on as well.

It's just regular 7x augmented chain so that's some good news. The bad news is I'll have to wait another 15 months to have enough premium points to pad it. You win some you lose some.
