I find it somewhat amusing that now there's a chance that everyone who's been burning fumes to milk the final hours of the exp mod may now get time warped to earlier tonight.

I was wrong. I thought the game had crashed. There are times when the game crashes and doesn't get a chance to save a current version of your character, so it reverts to its last saved. Anything you had gotten or earned would be lost. Its like not saving a word document and having your computer crash.

Ahh, didnt catch the reference to the game crashing, saw it slow down figured it was just me...

Back in the day the game didn't save as often..and it crashed a lot...If you get time warped now, which is very rare, you get hit for about 5 minutes MAYBE. I remember losing like 4 hours of work.

Heh yeah. I didn't like that very much. I usually found myself walking away.
I haven't had that problem lately though.

Well im just glad it didnt happen now. I was one of those people trying to milk out ever last bit of exp on the last day. Trained my sorc though so im happy.

I didn't care much for the experience modifier. I thought it was over a long time ago. It sucks though, thinking that I was absorbing experience like norm with the modifier, as it turns out.. it will be slower now. :(

It seems a lot of people got confused with the modifier and thought it was over. There really were WAY too many times and dates to try to remember.
The mod seemed to flip itself on and off occasionally. So there is a slight chance you noticed rates at the normal speed.

I would just like to say that in the time that the experience boosts came out, my premium account characters gained all of...uh... half a level each.
Thank you, thank you....no pictures....no comments. *bows*

While the Exp Mod was around I picked up 12 trains in a little over a month, so I am happy.

Yes like turn the mod back on for another month or so. What could another 12 trains or so hurt?

Not only that, but it's the increase in experience to level that would piss me if i was still playing...
Not only it's slower but you need more...
ahh, bad bad

I agree, it also seems that something has changed with the critters too making them a bit harder to damage.

According to the official boards there's absolutely no way in hell they'll reduce the new experience curve. People are petitioning for larger bucket sizes, however.
An across the boards exp mod would simply circumvent what they were trying to accomplish with the increase in exp required per level.
And DR points aren't really 'in' as of yet. There's a 1,000 DR penalty if you die and decay. I did it the other day and its gone in about a hunt and a half.

I agree on why they dont want to bring it back but, there is nothing wrong with ranting and raving. Releases built up frustration.
