There are three (and a half) tiers to Iasha weapons:

Tier 1 is vanilla, but they can be unlocked for more zests.
Tier 2 were raffled, are 5x, and enhance your WIS.
Tier 3 were raffled (and auctioned on the Promise), are 6x, enhance your WIS, and teleport 1x/day.


And then there's my uber 7x teleporting Iasha maul of divinity.

Whatcha got exactly? 4x unlocked?

Yea, tier 1 is actually 2 levels, one is off the shelf and then tier 1.5 is the unlocked version (kiss is the easiest verb trap to find out if it is or not). Then everything else is exactly like the BriarFox stated.

Unless it enhances your WIS (just check your stats while holding it), it looks like it's a 4x unlocked. They usually go for around a million, though I suppose someone might like the alter.

No, there was probably just some confusion over what "Tier 2" really meant. I doubt you bought it thinking it was a 5x WIS-enhancing falchion.

Oh, and they've got plasma flares, btw, not fire.

That page isn't exactly right, unfortunately. It's also a bit confusing in how it labels the Tiers, totally leaving out the 5x weapons.

This is sorta incorrect. If I remember what Iasha said...

tier 1 - Your basic off the shelf
tier 2 - unlocked
tier 3 - 6x wisdom , 1x/day teleport

The 5x ones were just unlocked 5x ones that were raffled off, along with a single 6x.

Just clearing up a misconception.

Hrm, so what's the consensus? Is that badelaire a tier 1 unlocked or a tier 2? Weapon was returned and refund made, but we'll be relisting it again over on www.gsauctions.com and just want to make sure we have the right stats.

I'd go with tier 2. There's no need to count the 5x ones as a separate tier.
