Naos was kind enough to fill 230, so now let's keep an eye to the future. Filling this slot isn't our next project or anything, but I'm just curious what Empaths and Clerics would like to see for spell slot 235.

Some things to keep in mind when brainstorming are the basic requirements of a new spell for an existing profession. It should be unique, useful, not overpowered, appropriate for the circle and worthy of the spell level. Making the spell provide incentive to continue training the 200s circle is extra handy, since that is a current design goal.

As much as I don't like the new dispels, it was a pretty logical consequence.

Creatures could already do both.

We could always get ideas started here.

Well I feel like its over powered when I get hit with it.

Anyway for 235 I think optimal for the player base would be some sort of mass stun or bind, clerics and empaths are in dire need. For power reduction the duration would have to be pretty short maybe 1 sec per 3/ward and 3 targets +1 for each additional 20 ranks in spirit lore blessing or something along those lines? I really think clerics should have a major e-wave type spell that incurs damage and disable but would be more appropriate in their own circle, and dont say divine wrath that spell is a pos.

235 should make 1120 last longer.

It should just give empaths a flat +200 to spell aim and +300 to ambush ranks so they can officially be better then everyone at everything

1120 should have a percent based chance, increased by lore, to charm a single creature for a prolonged period of time. Perhaps more then one, but with increasingly smaller percentages.

ugh seriously i mean i play an empath as a main and my other mains are starting to get offended at how over powered they are, stop deving empaths for christ sake they are more then done, one more boost spell and you can just change their names to wizasorcpaths

divine wrath that spell is a pos.

This made me laugh a bit. They should be fixing bugged spells before brainstorming projects years down the road.

Since the fix they made to TD against Ithzir casts of 217 and 118, Divine Wrath no longer works correctly against Ithzir and is horribly bugged. It caps the max number of targets at 3, whereas the total number of targets previously was 7 or higher.

I just think its worthless because it isnt instantaneous, Im in a huge swarm need to put multiple targets down quickly..well Ill just cast this and 10 seconds later...oop im dead.

I will agree clerics need more development than empaths. Empaths certainly feel much more rounded, whereas clerics are still rather lackluster.

Clerics already have a mass spell in 316 which I use quite liberally.

Thats true I forgot about that, I dunno what 235 should be then, clerics could use some bolt power I guess to be well rounded pures, but they cant get it from the 200 circle since empaths are basically banned from gaining any more boosts.
