For the really GS mechanics inclined a thought problem for your pleasure.

This is the scenario and question. You have a 10x perfectly forged heavily crit weighted morningstar and a 4x claid.

Which would be more suited for killing and dishing out as much punishment as possible, 1 swing with the 4x claid or 2 swings with the morningstar. Would it be the same if you had 6 swings with the claid and 12 swings with the morningstar.

Now think carefully before you answer, note how you'll have a greater chance to have a higher crit rank with the claid but you don't get twice the rolls. Also note that crit ranking doesn't stack that leads to death. Also note we are not aiming in this scenario.

Please, no emotional advocation to either weapon I need all answers with cold hard mechanics.

It depends pretty much entirely on the AS-DS gap. If you can reach a crit rank 9 with the morningstars, the two morningstars will always be better (outside of crit type).

Why 2 swings with the morning star instead of 1?

This question does not seem to take RT into account. With RT, they should be about equal, and it only depends on your AGI/DEX and whether or not you are dual wielding.

In a single weapon scenario, the morning star would likely win out... there will be a larger AS/DS gap to boost DF performance, not to mention DF boost from perfect forging.

The issue would be CREATING such a monster, as it would require premium points to enchant from 7x-10x and add god knows only what to add weighting... maybe blowing a GM merchant. 4000 + 4500 + 5000 + fellatio = 13500 points and you lose

A 4x claid already exists.

Lets say I can barely reach rank 9 with the morningstar, why would it be so much better then the claid? Because of the two attacks with the stars versus just 1 with the claid?

If you get crit rank 9s, the only question is raw damage, and even regular morning stars have more than half a claidhmore's DF, plus AvDs being equal or better, plus enchant advantage.
