Elemental Dispel changed for GSIV?

What's the deal with your elemental aura wavering and a hazy film dissipating when this is cast at you? Is it just new messaging, or does it actually mean anything?

The only affect I know of the "hazy" films is if someone casts Elem. dispell at you, and then Spirit dispell while you still have the first "hazy film," you get blown up.

Just a small note...

The explosive reaction between E. Dispel and S. Dispel can only occur if the target has spells on. If your knocking spells out that are prepped, or mana from their head, the film doesn't envelope them. It also seems like the damage and critting is level based although I haven't been able to find candidates to test that theory out fully.
