I am happy to announce that after all these months of waiting, the time has come for my little girl to make her grand entrance into the world.
Daliana Rose Lynn was born on Saturday, July 5, 2008 at 2:19pm.
She weighed 8lb 7oz and was 22 inches long.

I am so excited, scared, nervous, exhausted, and overjoyed all rolled into one. So far her first night home wasn't all that bad. I still can't believe she's here!

My aunt has been saying pretty much all of my life that she wanted to have lots of kids.
When she had her second child, she said someone was getting something tied or snipped, but he was the last one she was having. :D

Thanks so much for all the well wishes everyone! I'm just so overwhelmed with joy that she's finally arrived!
Hopefully we can one day give her a little brother or sister to have fun with, but we'll just start off slowly with one little one before we plan for another.
I was definitely shocked at all her hair and her eye lashes. It's amazing to look at this little person and know that you created her. I can already tell that Daliana's going to be spoiled...and she's only 4 days old!

Take it from a mother of 2 children, stop at one! LOL unless you want to hear She/he looked at me....she/he touched me..she/he took my toy blah blah blah.
Congrats and hopefully she isn't going to be a colicy baby or one who isn't a night sleeper. My daughter was a nightmare for sleeping when it was night time but my second child <my boy> slept all night from the day we brought him home from the hospital <he is my favorite LOL>

Congrats! She's a very pretty baby. My daughter didn't even have that much hair at 1. And the hand covers for her not scratching herself is a must! My daughter's gowns had built in ones. It drives me nuts to see kids whose parents have let them scratch themselves up. Did you get that surreal feeling when she was lying in her crib at your house and you were like... ok... she's here, now what? Again, nice looking family.

It definitely was a bit surreal. I was looking over at her and I was like...wow. We made her. And we're going to have her for the rest of our lives.
She's definitely a blessing and we're loving every minute of it.

Those puffy little cheeks were just made for baby kisses! Cute picture.
Oh, and that surreal feeling will hit you now and again for the next few weeks. Well, it did with me. I remember the first thing I thought was that I didn't have any nurses there! I was so used to them taking over.
Enjoy every second. (though you sound like you are) Like someone said earlier, they grow up way too fast!

I'm so glad I have a camera phone so that I can capture the moments that make me laugh when my regular camera isn't around. Here's a funny pic I got.

Since you just did it, maybe you can answer this for me: how the hell do you get pics from your phone to your computer? I'm assuming I need some sort of cable to connect the two but I honestly dunno what. And I have some pics from lab on my phone that i'd really love to print out this week and study for my exam.

I think the easiest way is to text message the pictures to your email address.

You'd need to send a picture message to your e-mail. There might be an option when you're looking through your pictures.
Edited to add: You'd also want to check your spam settings for your e-mail. When I first sent pictures to my e-mail, it got caught in my spam filter.

I send mine to my photobucket account. Then I go and save them to the computer.
You just have to set it up online and they give you this address to picture message it to basically. I just take the picture, go to SEND on my camera phone, choose the photobucket address and it shows up online.
I know there are other photo programs you can send them to, but that's the one that works for me.

Yeah, I do that, and it goes through the whole "sending" process, but then I get an error that says invalid destination address. And it fails. :/
