Ok..I'm thinking about buy this set of double chain armor that has lightning flares and lightning resistance. I was wondering if I were to add a set of leg greaves and go up to augmented chain, would I be able to generate lightning flares when I sweep?

If so, if I put on a pair of spike or elemental flaring greaves will I be able to generate both lightning and spike/elemental flares?

Also, does the same hold true for adding leg armor with fire resistance? Do I get the benefit of both lightning and fire resistance? I know this is a lot but any help with this would be great.

Thanks!

Double chain is still rigid leather everywhere but the torso. Your legs are still covered by the armor. You will get the lightning flares without the greaves.

A common viewpoint, and while you do get the scale crit divisor on the legs, you still get the chain DF's, which are generally better than the scale ones.

Oh well that's nice. If I were to add the greaves do you think I would get double flares?

What they said. Also, the flares will go off when hit by a creature for any part of your body (even though double chain doesn't cover it) as well as any cman.

No. Flares don't stack with other flares, or padding. They do however stack with spikes. So if you had some spiked ONLY leg guards, you could have a chance to set your lightning/spikes off.

You can have different resistances on the same armor, but you can't stack different armor pieces ontop of each other and have them stack with the full resistance. Basically if your chain has 20% lightning resistance, and you add fire resistant leg guards that are 20%, your resistance on your legs will be halved (10% fire/10%lightning).

I wish you could stack. I'd be that much happier in my crush/puncture/slash resistant plate if I could add fire/lightning/impact/etc to it.

See above about stacking.

I think this is wrong. If you cover flaring armor with an accessory, you lose the flares. If you had your armor spiked and flared, or an accessory that was spiked/flared, only then would you get the double flares.

I dunno. I've covered my spiked halfplate with sancted arm greaves and gotten guiding light flares and the spikes off a cman attack.

What manner of attack were you using? The accessories only inhibit the inherent qualities of the section it covers.

Bullrush.

Edit: And looking back, I have no idea what that second part means. It's too early. I'm only on my second mtn dew.

Bullrush is a full body maneuver, so I think that is why you're seeing both.

Eh. It should still have body parts that the cmans can activate on. I doubt if I add sancted leg guards I'll have the flares go off.

Especially since this is the messaging.

You rush towards a velnalin and connect with a shoulder check!
You manage to knock a velnalin flat on his back! 32 hits!
Roundtime: 5 sec.

Wow, thanks everyone! I think I have it figured out now. I need spiked leg greaves
