IMO, lower ambush to .5x, lower MOC to 1x, raise PF and dodging to 2x. You can probably be in MBP at level 25.

edit: 35 ranks MOC is a nice number too, I could go with that.

I agree with these suggestions. You'll only ever need 30 ranks of ambush ever to reach a good plateau of success %.

I like to stop at 60 ranks of MOC for 3 focused, 5 open swings. Getting there via 1x training though makes good sense so that you can 2x dodge and 2x physical fitness.

You want the redux that 2x+ fitness will give you and the DS that 2x dodge will give you as a two hander. Trust me. If you wind up with any extra points this way, dump them into armor usage until you reach 140 ranks.

Yeah, that. You should be in MBP at 25, ABP at 32, Halfplate at 39, and full plate as early as 45 if you do this.

By 25, I sacrificed the points to get up to 35 ranks MOC, and I'm letting it sit until my level catches up to it. I was still in MBP at this point, though my tertiary skills suffered a bit. I'm happy with berserking in warcamps. If you've never seen any of Khariz' logs for this, go look.

Thanks for the replies.
Because I'll be lowering MOP and ambush, would it be a wise choice to pick up brawling?

edit:nm, saw what you said about armor use.
i tossed the rest into MOC

Not unless you are in voln and plan to Fu. Doesn't do jack these days for ya. Just pump the extra points into armor and dodge. Dodge is where you get your DS.

(slightly) offtopic:
I called Simu the other day to reactivate one of my mules from my old premium account and lo and behold I had a level 20 warrior who's TWC. So this leads me to my next question:

Is TWC viable, or am I just better off converting him to a paladin? He's on a different account and just glancing at the paladin spell list I could see how it would be beneficial for them to hunt together.

Martaigne

It's viable. The training is actually very similar to THW style, meaning Dodge is your ally.

MStriking TWC users can get fearsome numbers of attacks.

Any, really. I have 3 in wspec1, 4 in bonding, 3 in surge, and 2 in parry mastery at level 27. My next will be combat mobility.

I kinda have to disagree with this. You're only getting 1 extra attack in due to the offhand. So say you're striking an opponent 6 times, with two weapon you get 7 and thats daggers or some small weapons I'd rather get 6 from a claid or lance or something.

Unless they changed it so the offhand gets the same attacks. So it'll be 12 attacks for a two weapon user, which makes far far more sense to me. But whatever.

I'll double check this with my rogue later but I'm pretty certain I'm seeing multiple strikes per weapon.

Whoa, and here I always thought it was just one per and the extra offhand swing. Try doing a focused mstrike and see how many attacks you get.

Let's just say, if you have a warrior and you're thinking of converting to a Paladin, don't.

If you are fully trained in two weapon combat, then every extra attack that multi opps gives you will give one swing for each weapon.

Paladins are incredibly boring. I level'd one from birth to great lord, but much of it was "Well, it'll get better as I level." Well, it didn't.

Thats pretty nuts. I never knew that, I always thought it was the mutliple attacks with your primary and then one more overall at the end with your offhand. Wow, I guess then the best berserker will be a warrior armed with two perfect morning stars preferbly crit weighted.

Wow, thats nuts I'm making a berserker. Name him Slayer or something get him some nice morningstars. :bananahit:

You cannot swing a second weapon if your first swing is with a morning star. They are treated the same as whips in that way.

you cannot. you also cannot dual wield hybrid weapons such as bastard swords, katanas, or the ever popular bastardaxe. Some onehanded weapons are ineligible, such as ball and chains and whips. Morningstars used to be prohibited from TWC but the ban was lifted a while back.

Morning stars can be dual wielded. Whips, whip-blades, and ball(s?) & chains are the ones that can't.
