You can buy it from the herbalist on FWI.

Yep. It's been awhile, but when I first started messing with alchemy, that's where I got my tkaro root from.

You would not believe the lengths I have gone too to forage that stuff while the whole time having four winds access. Thanks for the heads up.

hahaha, and they're only 500 each. any other alchemy questions before you drive yourself insane?

edit: I also recommend buying about 600-1000 of them to start with and just grinding them down and throwing them on a locker character.

Actually yes...is there any reason not to turn in component gathering missions ever? Because as far as I can tell I can usually do 10 of any other task in the time it takes me to do a gather.

If you're a super speedy MAer with toons scattered across Elanthia they can prove quick enough from what I have observed.

I heavily MA and stock pile weird crap too, I dont however have 6 shelfae crests and 2 metallic black opals hanging around. Honestly id rather do two cauldron tasks then waste my other characters time finding this shit.. I just cant imagine a person who would not benefit by trading these in

Trust me, when you get to the point of needing things like any of the radiants, or even hairs and essence of fire, you'll be happy to get five points for foraging some crap you know you can find.

You realize, if you have say 5 reps, and can only easily obtain 3 of them, you can turn in a partial list and get another?

No I didnt, is three the minimum or could i turn 1 in and get a new list?

You can turn in the entire list if you want, and start over.

There is a wait time before you can get a new list, it's less if you turn in a few reps off the list, more if you don't.

I don't remember the specifics, but I *think* it's a half hour if you did at least one rep off the list. That includes any time that's passed since you got the list in the first place.

Depends on how many ranks you have and in what discipline and where you're doing the work. In the beginning it's probably easier to just trade them, but at later ranks, and in the general ranks when you actually have to make real things (ie not essence shards, crystal break downs or spirit shards) you're better just to suck it up and do them, because it is faster than collecting all the rare drops.

personally I love lists. Even if it might be faster just to trade it, for me it breaks up the monotony and in the Landing/Solhaven/Icemule area i can usually get 5-8 things on any one list.

Well ill definately complete them now that I know I can dump the list if it sucks, being on teras its pretty rare I have more than 2 components on a locker char is why they suck so bad for me, but if i can do 2 from each list no problem.

I have a fairly competent level 34 character in the landing that so far can forage and skin for pretty much anything I need there.

I also have stooges in Vaalor and in Mule to get stuff out of player shops there. The mule character can occasionally find the freakish rift gems and forageables in the shops.

Search everything on playershops that's on your list - you never know. My last list had 4 lesser griffin skins on it, and lo and behold, someone in Illy was selling them. Go me.
