Well this is my current bard training so any input would be greatly appreciated. From the looks of things I want to do the 1rt short sword flare and have the ability to be a caster bard. Hopefully I'll be upping my spells training to 1.5x soon.

You've got a long way to go before you'll have a 1 second short sword swing, you'll need 75 air lore ranks - level 73 minimum. I suppose you could swing a dagger at 1 second though, but you don't have anywhere near enough mana to sustain that for long.

reroll - your str and con is crap.

I thought that. But just buy a fixstat if you can. That's a lot of levels to just throw away.

You're stats are bad, but they're not prohibitively bad. I wouldn't reroll, but looking at those mental stats, I'd forget about swinging a weapon and go for a pure build.

If it were my character, I'd ditch the combat maneuvers, dodging, elemental mana control, and air lore, and pick up 24 ranks of mental mana control (to leech mana off creatures, blue wands, blue crystals, etc.) get up to level in manipulation lore, pick up 15 ranks or so of arcane symbols so you can put up cheap low level spells, (103, 202, 503, 507, and 102 help a lot) and as many extra spells as you can get.

Have you mastered an instrument yet? If so, I'd seriously consider dropping edged for brawling, because you could use a two handed instrument held in your left hand, and still get brawling parry defense.

Also, what society are you in? I'd avoid sunfist due to your low con. Now that you have your 30 ranks in the bard circle, consider giving the elemental circle some attention, you'll want 1030 and 425.

okay what would be a better stat placement for semi-bard that can swing a good bit and cast well too? Why is Con and Str important for a bard?
