Um..does anybody know anything about minifridges? I have a problem.
Okay like..say there was..this guy..right. And he was de-icing a minifridge with say...a screwdriver and a hammer. And like, he hit the metal part of the minifridge with the screwdriver and punched a hole in it, and it say...started spewing some sort of gas so he patched it up with whiteout..Would that guy be boned or is it um..one of those things where that part of the fridge isn't important?
....I'm boned aren't I?

Is that why I feel dizzy?
Edit to add: It smelled like that aerosol stuff.

Hehe...actually you'll be fine, but the fridge is probably shot. :(
edit: DON'T light any matches or anything...and open up a window.

Crap. This is what happens when somebody asks me to do something that isn't in my job description. I'm a freakin' sysadmin. i'm not supposed to have to clean out fridges.

Eh, no
Followed a fire courses? I did
Some gaz got an higher limit and a lower limit, and between the two, BANG
For exemple, i have no numbers now but i'll just do it random
Gazoline's higher limit is at 60%, and lower at 20%
means? at 60% of gazoline in the air, it won't blow
at 20% of gazoline in the air, it won't blow
at 21 to 59, BANG
That means that if there was more than 60%, and you open up the window... and wait, you could go bang EVEN!
Get out, call professionnals (firefighters)
But it's surely too late and the matter is solved, so, be cautious again

Why didn't you just turn the power off and de-frost it?

I did the same thing to my fridge last year when I was moving out of my dorm room. I cleaned it up and patched the hole and it didnt work. So I told my roommate if he wanted my fridge I'd sell it to him really cheap. I made 50 bucks off that sucker.

Well the plan was to turn it off and defrost it, but one of the lawyers was like "We're not going to be here until monday. Do it by hand"

My minifridge is better than yours.
Also, I did the same thing with an air conditioner. I got bored and started throwing a knife at a cardboard box. OOPS! There was an air conditioner inside and I punctured it. A gas that condensated into a liquid when exposed to air spewed forth for about 30 minutes.

You can probably get it repaired and refilled.. costing you upwards of $100.
Or you can get a new fridge for $70.
If there is gas leaking out of it.. it's cooked. Look at it this way.. you will never have to worry about it freezing up again!

Yeah, it's shot unless you get it patched (with something other then whiteout) and the key part is getting it refilled. Minifridges don't have much coolant.

Top Three Things Not To Do While Bored
1) Play with knives
2) Light things on fire
3) Microwave things "to see what happens"
