Silly question

I have a mage rechargeable item, with three enhancives, that will crumble after the last charge is used. If I don't put any spells in it, will it last forever with the enhancives? I just just wear it (ugly as it is) and reap the bonuses?

I'm not really sure how all that works.

The enhancive portion's tendency to crumble is separate from the magic ability. The loresong will tell you whether or not it will persist after the last enhancive charge is used up, AND whether or not it will persist after the last magical charge is used up.

Ok, so if the enhancive just shows up when you wear the item, that means it's not a charge and the crumbly part is if the item is imbedded and those charges are used up prior to recharging? (excuse the awkward sentence please)
