Teen Decapitated In Six Flags Accident
Teen Struck By Batman Roller Coaster After Entering Restricted Area
A teenager was decapitated by a roller coaster after he hopped a pair of fences and entered a restricted area Saturday at Six Flags Over Georgia amusement park, authorities said.
Six Flags officials are uncertain why the unidentified 17-year-old from Columbia, South Carolina, scaled two 6-foot fences and passed signs that said the restricted area was both off-limits and dangerous to visitors, spokeswoman Hela Sheth said in a news release.
Authorities were investigating reports from witnesses who said the teenager jumped the fences to retrieve a hat he lost while riding the Batman roller coaster, said Cobb County police Sgt. Dana Pierce. Three security guards were keeping visitors away from the ride on Saturday.
Police said the ride was going full-speed when the teen was struck. The ride's top speed is 50 mph, according to the Six Flags Web site.
No one riding on the roller coaster was injured, Sheth said. The teen's friend also entered the restricted area but was not injured, Pierce said.
The teen and his parents were at the park with a group from the Oakey Spring Baptist Church near Springfield, South Carolina, police said.

Fuck that pussy ride.
Shrieka pwns all.
200 feet up, 90 degrees straight down. And that was just the beginning. As the nation’s first dive coaster, SheiKra raised the bar with first-of-a-kind elements like a true 90-degree drop, an Immelmann loop and a second vertical dive into an underground tunnel.
Now, technology has raised that bar even higher, introducing SheiKra’s fans to an even greater thrill. In June 2007, Busch Gardens reintroduced SheiKra to the world with a new twist: “floorless” cars that allow riders an unobstructed view of the 70 mph rush.
The name SheiKra evokes the power and speed of an African hawk as it twists and plunges - giving riders a 70 mph, adrenaline-pumping experience like no other. At 200 feet, SheiKra takes the crown as Florida's tallest roller coaster.
Floorless SheiKra: Nothing above you but air. Nothing below you but earth. And like nothing you've ever experienced.
And Montu hurts my fucking feet the G-force is so rough at times. I think it hit's 4 gs... too much for my dangling fat feet.

What a dummy, he must not have been in sunfist. Or he forgot to sigil up before he went in.
Honestly, sure does just sound like darwinism to me. Redneck's famous last words, "hey check this out"... and now "Security? Why would we call them? I'll just go get it myself, what's the worst that can happen? I'd rather not pay 20 bucks for a new hat..."

Stats for this dude...
Headless Jon Doe, Human Redneck:
100 - Str (gotta put those points somewhere)
100 - Con (He really wanted that hat... he had physical prowess sure)
100 - Dex (He got over the fence, and he really liked those high PTPs)
55 - Agi (Again, got over the fence, but not high enough to dodge the guilitine)
55 - Dis (This one was part of the issue. He had enough so he didn't just whine and moan about his hat, he went to go get it, but it wasn't enough for him to follow the park's safety rules or heed the signs)
70 - Aur (He had spirit, no doubt about that)
35 - Log (Here's the real issue. Just a bit more of this would have helped, but he knew enough to not be afraid of the coaster - 'people must do this all the time, they wouldn't make it dangerous')
35 - Int (ooh, again, just low. that's going to cost him Jim)
20 - Wis (Who needs wisdom? What am I a cleric?)
90 - Inf (High influence, he convinced his buddy to come with him)
This is why it's always a good idea to min/max.

I wonder how Andraste or Emeradan would have handled this situation if they caught him jumping the fence and pulled him to the Lounge before he got pwned. Or at least pulled him before he decayed, since there's pretty much 0 chance of being rescued from under the Batman roller coaster, even during prime time.
I hear the loot there is awesome though, being so underhunted and all. Plus he was in a group. But from the sound of it, I don't think his friend contributed to anything.

Of course they can, it's almost required what with the US being the laswuit capital of the world and all. They'll simply claim the signs and fence weren't adequate deterrent/protection/safeguarding, as the people made it in anyway, and start rolling from there.
They won't win, nor will they really hope to, so much as landing a fat cash settlement from a faltering amusement park hoping to avoid any further negative publicity.

Or he's an emotional wreck.
Sheesh, I guess you could get all serious... odds are his head wasn't kicked off, as there would be some serious injury to the feet, and they said all passangers were fine.
I believe there's a significant underhanging portion of the ride (if its anything like the ones I've ridden).
I'm sure the contact to head was all metal.

My wife was looking at it and found this:
http://www.ajc.com/news/content/metro/cobb/stories/2008/06/29/sixflags_0630_web2.html
Aparently...
"Jenkins told police investigators that rather then re-entering through the main gate, the two decided to scale the fences, which lead directly to the ride." So there was no hat involved...
He's even stupider than I previously imagined.

Hahah, Anticor, that is awesome.
HOLY FUCK... wow I have a pretty strong stomach, but shit... I'm not going to link it direct because it's really fucked up, but if you look up "Decapitation" on snoopes, there is a fucked up story of a man who was decapitated by a wrought iron fence while fleeing from the police, and a ridiculously unbelievable picture that looks like it's out of a movie, but snoopes confirms as legit. Damn...

Yeah, the angle of it is what gets me... how on earth he managed to land so perfectly. Really looks like it's out of some movie... If you showed me just that picture I would think campy horror flick. Knowing it's real is a little sickening though.
I'm re-reading George RR Martin's "Clash of Kings". Kind of fitting with all the heads on spikes happening in the book.

Because it was more likely the bar underneath the ride than anyone's foot.

Yeah the angle of the picture is misleading, I'm pretty sure that bar hangs below the level of riders' feet.

It really depends on how long your legs are, mine for instance hang below the bar, and the kid is a fuckin douchbag for even thinking he could jump the fences and not get hurt. All kinds of warning signs and if you watch the train go by you know why they are there.
