I got the house, the car, all of my savings, all the bank accounts, and she's on record with her guido boyfriend as adulterers. No lawyers present at trial, they both acceded and admitted to every count as well as the details of the infidelity. Easiest 15 minutes of my life to end a decade of wasted time.

Yeah, but she literally has no money. She's currently unemployed and planning to move with her boyfriend, also unemployed, to Oregon on Monday and theoretically get a job there. She doesn't even have a forwarding address! It is absolutely hilarious. I wonder how long until she gets bored of this one and moves on again.

The court costs will be negligible in the long view in comparison to what she could have got (close to $200k in liquid assets plus alimony she could have claimed in an "equal distribution" state like New Jersey, luckily Maryland is an "equitable distribution" one).

I just called a bunch of home improvement contractors to start giving me estimates on the work I need done on the house, now that there is no chance I might lose it to litigation. After that I can sell this suburban homebody coffin and get a real place downtown. I can't fucking wait!

Aaaaaanyway, I think this will go down in history as perhaps the one solitary situation where not having lawyers ended up being the best decision ever. I talked to my legal adviser today since everything is done and he was completely dumbfounded that I was able to win this the way I did. He had never heard of an adultery case where the wife cheated and then not get anything substantial from the husband.

I bought him dinner for his suggestion that my wife and I agree not to have lawyers at trial. If she had had a lawyer, I would have been screwed I'm sure.
